Partly inspired by a recent thread about the Delica 4 in 2024, I'm curious what variant of the Delica is your favorite?
As someone relatively new to Spyderco I don't have a long history with this knife but my favorite variant so far is the Delica 4 K390 drop point version. It cuts so well with the thin blade stock, stays sharp for a long time, and I also like the dark blue FRN color. Here's a pic of mine:
Of all the Delicas you've encountered, which is your favorite and why? Pictures appreciated where possible.
My favorite that I own is dlt exclusive od green cruwear Delica. I’ve put that knife through the paces. It’s a good friend of mine. I don’t remember how to post pics
I really would like to have the orange hap40 cutlery shop version.

Top three going by pocket-time (update April 25):
- EDC: Endela SE (K390). Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10), Chaparral SE (CTS XHP)
- Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 2 SE (LC200N), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), Endela SE (K390)
If you'll allow me to count it as a delica, the salt 2 lc200n wharny. Ive been pretty carrying it to work everyday with a larger serrated blade. Doesnt rust, tough perfect size that its unassuming and takes an edge beautifully
This Salt 2 is my favorite Delica iteration because it's very light and has a tiny bit longer blade and I like the low maintenance and toughness of LC200n.
i didn't like the delica really at all until this past year or so. i still don't have a standard version in my collection at all, but i've used them a little.
my current delicas are the saber ground damascus blade with grey/black zome scales, the knifejoy exclusive 20cv wharncliffe, and the emerson opener version with a signet ring.
i can't pick a favorite between the three because i like them all very much, but for different reasons. i do also like them all better than a standard delica though.
I carried VG 10 saber ground for many years. I recently gave it away and as a replacement bought the k390 version and I suppose this is my new favorite delica.
I only have three Delicas and this is my favorite . The G10 variant with a blade switch to ZDP189 given to me by a very great friend . I do enjoy an exclusive Wharnie and a sprint Wharnie versions also that get weak side pocket time . MG2

My favorite variant is the SE K390 version. The blade and serration geometry is outstanding and it's definitely the best-performing SE knife I own. Pictured here with aftermarket micarta scales although I really like the factory blue FRN, and actually find the FRN scales more comfortable in use.
Great idea for a thread - the Delica is one of my 2 or 3 favorite platforms and I love the number of variations it's been produced in.
I had others before in VG-10 and ZDP-189 but I committed to making this one a user for any task given the uneven lamination line towards the tip. I have done some stupid stuff with it, and the more I use it the more I like it - enough that it kicked off a spate of Delica-buying over the next few years, and now I'm up to seven Delicas in four steels.
Helps that the grind on the Hap40 seems thinner than my other Delicas, too.
