Re: Military 2 Discussion (Merged)

So I measured the tips on each one and here is what I found:
S90V - 0.029
S110V - 0.030
SPY27 - 0.033
CruWear - 0.029
15V - 0.028

So they are all very close all by margins of error.

Hi Chris,

Thanks for doing the measurements.
Indeed a bit of variation, but all close.

Re: Military 2 Discussion (Merged)

I had similar impressions with mine but I also think it's caused by the stonewashing. It doesn't look that thin from the edge's side

Thanks for the reply, I was indeed curious about other people’s experiences / impressions. I expect that -within a certain bandwidth- there are always a bit of ...

Re: Military 2 Discussion (Merged)

Something I noticed when unboxing the 15V version: it struck me how thin the tip was.
Especially when comparing it to my S30V variant.
It did trigger a bit of “tip-anxiety” at my end. :smlling-eyes

Due to the stonewashed finish it has the edges broken, that might already contribute to the ...

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

Slicing French bread during hikes just requires a Millie 2 in Cruwear….*

*for the French members: no complaints about the bread, I am loving it, just needed an excuse to buy the knife.

Re: Bodacious Discussion

After seeing the reveal of the Bodacious, it triggered a “Déjà-vu feeling”.
There is a thread on the Bladeforum on a heavily modified Shaman:

In my personal opinion there is quit some resemblance between them. (Without judging ...

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

Thank you for welcoming me.

The picture was taken in the vicinity of Montclar / Seyne.

Due to the long blade it’s perfect for slicing melons too:
Up to so far my “hard use” explorations.
