In some ways this is an impossible thing. I cannot tell anyone how a steel works or doesn't. I can only comment on my
experience with the knives I've used & the steel as set up by maker in question.

EDIT : Sorry if I was supposed to keep this to steels that Sp[yderco is using or has in the past ...

My knives have seemed to last much longer since Ive started making more use of leather strops to touch up my knives edge when needed.

However I'm better at sharpening now than I used to be. I dont do things I used to do & I keep an extra knife in my pocket 4

Its appears to be a neat idea. I'd like to try it. After I have gained the capacity to do it by hand.

Is just me or does the Convex / Apple Seed profle just have a nice but different feel ? Like when cutting a feather stick or
cutting strips of wood to shape. Kind of like the difference between an aggressive toothy edge slicing paper vs a polished
edge.

Bolster, While I am familiar with Hapstone, this sharpner is new to me. While I enjoy sharpeneing by hand a tool like this
could be useful on heavy use knives that eventually need to thinned or reprofiled ...

I have leather coming to make 3 new strops. I have had great results using leather strops with different levels of
abrasiveves added. However I've yet to profile /sharpen a convex grind.

As stated I dont believe I will ever use the sheath. Its made well enough. This style just wont work for me ...

Thanks fellas. I've order leather for making 3 new strops. Have all the stones Ill ever need. Tried the sandpaper it showed
promise but man I had to pay attention or it was easy to blunt edge.

Out of box edge on my Zoomer was the worse of any Spyderco Ive purchased. Sharp is
