Re: Magnamax Mule Rework

Now that is some serious modification. I know full well right off the bat I would have that knife broke though...
I am to hard on my tools from time to time and cutting that full tang handle out of mine would be the bitter end of it and sooner than later, with how I would hack at something.

Now ...

Thats a nicely modded mule
Did you match the primary bevel angle when regrinding or did you increase it to keep the spine's thickness?
Kept the spine thickness just thinner the primary bevel

Magnamax Mule Rework

I’m excited about the new steel, so I decided to pick one of these up. Not without making my own changes. Reground to about .008” behind the edge, no finger guard, smaller ricasso, different handle shape, hidden pin/partial tang.

Re: CPM 15V Sprint sharpening and performance thread

Finally sharpened my pm2 tonight. It has been performing well with just the factory edge so I haven’t needed to sharpen it really.

Started with dmt 325, burr both sides no problem. Moved to dmt 600 flipped burr. Then deburring strokes. Deburred VERY easily, and I’m not just saying that. A few light ...

Re: 15V Shaman!

I was picking up a work truck in Denver today, and didn’t even realize I was driving right by the headquarters…what can I say I’m weak.

I’ve never held a shaman and didn’t think I would like the taller blade, and thick stock but lemme tell ya…it’s super comfortable and I like how you get the more ...

Those scales do look nice, I like that color.
Might be the brick red?
Yep cerakote brick red. They’re definitely worth the money and the machining is impressive. I had a hard time choosing the color but am really happened with how it turned out. The mxg stonewash matches the blade perfectly

Re: CPM 15V PM2

The AWT scales really are nice. The knife is noticeably lighter with them (since it rids one of the liners). Feel is much better too.

Re: CPM 15V PM2

Am I allowed to post this CPM 15v PM2 in this CPM 15v PM2 thread? Got mine today. Snagged it off of SMKW. No way I would’ve gotten one without the alert thread. Really appreciate it.
Good luck to all still on the hunt.

Got some AWT scales and mxg clip coming. This is a special knife for me as I ...

Re: CPM 15V PM2

Not only has NGK caused a bunch of grief for people not getting the knife, but more importantly making the alert thread blow up and bomb people’s inbox constantly. I got a refund from NGK and ordered 12:10 MST.

New Graham Knives
Still you can put the knife in “cart” and checkout but I don’t think they have them. Probably they are oversold.

That’s pretty funny. I bought one (along with the rest of the world seemingly) at 12:13 MST. Just expecting not to get it really.

It is strange how people cant ...

Re: CPM 15V PM2

Heh, well, I didn’t appreciate the NKD post here. I still think it would make more sense to make a fresh NKD thread to show it off, rather than posting that in the middle of this thread.

I’ve been a member here for ~4 months. Let me know when I’ve “put in enough time” to be allowed my own ...

Sometimes I get an email on the alert thread, and sometimes no email comes through. Is that just kind of how it goes?

Yes this is normal. Blade HQ's notification process is worthless for us and probably good for them to move stuff that doesn't immediately sell out to the stalkers. The ...

Deadwood is reputable dealer. I don’t approve that they are selling their batch on eBay for msrp. But to each their own.
Those went quick. I had them on my eBay watch list trying to decide but as soon as it got posted on the alert thread…gone
