Just got mine! Grabbed 2x Mules and 2x Scales kits. Going to give one to my brother in-law who is a big spyderco fan, but I don't think he's ever heard of Mules before.

Took about six minutes to place an order from the time it dropped. Laggy, but not miserable. I'm guessing there's less interest in this particular Mule than, say, Magnacut. Hopefully everyone who is looking for one can get it.

Wow, those look great! Any tips for someone else looking to get into that sort of crafting?

Once I get some Mules, I want to try making sheaths and handles for them, as well as put them to work around the yard.

Are the Jet Black G10 Contoured handles from Halpern the same as the handles available from Spyderco for 25% less? That pricing is curious.

There's nothing official about folding mules, right? The only advantage I can think of is that you could get more mules from a sheet of steel, so that you could use some materials that are difficult to source and have more Mules available. Of course, I have no idea how the mfring complexity compares...

I didn't read far enough into this thread initially, and did not realize that Elastic Ceramic Mules were in the works! Are they going to have the same Mule thickness and blade geometry? My understanding is that mules have standardized size to make comparisons easier, but I am having trouble understa...

Wow, that's some pretty extreme batoning for a knife that size! Can you say more about how the knife dulls that you like? If it didn't roll or chip, what's left?

Can't wait to grab some of these! My brother in law is a spyderco fan with some machining experience. I think a mule as a kit knife would be a nice present. Really, I'd love a second run of Magnacut (and possibly getting one this time), but I realize that that doesn't really fit the purpose of spyde...
