Everyone has different tastes and outlooks. If I saw any corrosion at all on any of my knives I would not sleep at night. If it were to the point of not being able to fix it, I would likely toss the knife. Knives and guns need to be flawless to appeal to me

I would be surprised if coating came off from an aluminum can. More than likely it is the aluminum deposits on the coating which can come off. I have found the DLC very difficult to scratch.

Yes the Sage is great to me also. I like everything about that one with maybe the exception that I’m not overly wild about liner locks. Not a deal breaker for me though..

Okay, I finally found one at the Cutlery Shoppe. Interestingly enough they had both pinned construction and screw construction in stock with different codes on the numbers. They just told me to specify what I wanted when I ordered. Extremely fast shipping and all is good.
