Re: Sage 6 first impressions

Glad to hear that you removed it. I hate changing anything from factory stock but I could not handle the drop on this the way it was. Glad I didn’t send it back because it is also now becoming one of my favorites and the action opening and closing is spot on perfect.

Re: Sage 6 first impressions

Is that action strictly from cleaning it out or did you remove the 2nd detent? That action looks exactly like mine, but I did remove it. Since I have removed it though it has become one of my favorites. I would be happier to have it just as it came but the close action on mine was horrible with that ...

Re: Sage 6 first impressions

I received my Sage 6 about a week ago, even though I was thinking I’m winding down in the collecting phase. I was just really curious about the button lock as I have a liner lock Maxamat version of the Sage with a liner lock I never dialed in to. I hate liner locks. I was really ready to pack the ...

Re: Corrosion Reports

Everyone has different tastes and outlooks. If I saw any corrosion at all on any of my knives I would not sleep at night. If it were to the point of not being able to fix it, I would likely toss the knife. Knives and guns need to be flawless to appeal to me

Re: St. Nick’s Exclusive red and black Goddard!

I would be surprised if coating came off from an aluminum can. More than likely it is the aluminum deposits on the coating which can come off. I have found the DLC very difficult to scratch.

Re: Thinking of parting ways with Native 5 LW

Yes the Sage is great to me also. I like everything about that one with maybe the exception that I’m not overly wild about liner locks. Not a deal breaker for me though..

Re: Thinking of parting ways with Native 5 LW

More than the actual fit to my hand, I think the bigger deal for me is the placement of the hole. It’s just too far back , partially covered by the handle and just does not seem right to me no matter how much I try to make myself like it. Almost makes me want to open it two handed and that really ...

Thinking of parting ways with Native 5 LW

I have had a Native 5 LW with Spy 27 since they first came out and it was my first Spyderco. I played with it a little bit then quickly got in Benchmade knives for a while as I got hooked on the Axis lock. That brought me back around into a Spyderco addiction and now I own quite a few Spyderco ...

Re: Spyderco Military 4V DLC St. Nick's Exclusive

I would have been interested, but it would be my only knife with tip down only carry, so for me that’s a deal breaker.

Re: When will Manix L’s with screws actually be available?

154.00 to my door from Cutlery Shoppe. Had it in my hands in 3 days with a bunch of nice swag included. And they were nice enough to tell me upfront they had both versions and would make sure I received the screw construction version that I wanted.

Re: When will Manix L’s with screws actually be available?

Hmmmm, I certainly didn’t see that. I have bought a number of knives from National and also knew they had the pinned version on a terrific sale, but I never saw where they were offering the screwed versions. Anyway, the Cutlery Shoppe was extremely fast and efficient and my knife is perfect so I am ...

Re: When will Manix L’s with screws actually be available?

Okay, I finally found one at the Cutlery Shoppe. Interestingly enough they had both pinned construction and screw construction in stock with different codes on the numbers. They just told me to specify what I wanted when I ordered. Extremely fast shipping and all is good. :smlling-eyes

Yes I have called a lot of the larger dealers and none available. Or at least that’s what they are telling me.

When will Manix L’s with screws actually be available?

I really want a Manix LW in Spy 27 because I like the steel and I like the Teal/ sea foam color, but I refuse to buy one with pinned construction. I know I can get a great deal on a pinned version in a few places, but I’m still not interested at any price. Anyone know for sure of any that are out ...

Thanks Buddafucco- I finally managed to get one thanks to your alert. I can’t believe the hoops we gotta jump through to simply buy a knife. I usually alway miss every one of these things.

Re: DLT Exclusive OD Green G10 / DLC S90V PM2 Available March 30th @ 11:00 AM CST

I got one and really like it. I also have the purple one. I like this better than the other exclusive version with the earth color blade because too many pics I have seen of those have discolored blades already and I can’t deal with that. The black DLC seems to hold up really well on my other knives ...

Re: You’re all sneaky keeping the REC manix 2 to yourselves

As far as all the flippers go, they can keep them. I tried to get one of these and actually had one in my cart, but by time I entered payment info they were gone. Fine. First of all, that system should be fixed, once something goes in the the cart it should be yours until payment is entered within a ...

Re: You’re all sneaky keeping the REC manix 2 to yourselves

Love the looks of these but I have been seeing some out there now that are really showing a lot of wear marks on that coating and that would drive me nuts. I know you can magic eraser a lot off but they are still looking funky and discolored to me after that, though I realize a lot of folks could ...
