Re: Different sticker on the box of my Military.

Hi,

Just a quick confirmation needed : the label sticker of my Military is different than the one we usually see on Spyderco knife. Does that mean it's a fake ?

Thanks

I think Boker.de puts them on as the 01SP044 number reflects their catalog at the website.

Apologies if this has been asked already. Did they clone Byrd Raven 2?

Re: ZDP-189 Patina

Today I cut with my Endura ZDP-189 sausage with ketchup, washed it quite fast, let's say in few minutes after finishing my meal. It has now spots of patina on the blade. I don't remember this with my old Endura ZDP-189 I have owned previously about 10+ years ago...

Re: Liner lock color on Military S110V

Didn't want to create other thread, never thought about it, but noticed that my Military doesn't have signature of Sal or Eric on the blade, is it possible for S110V release? :(

I own 4 Militaries, including one in S110V, and NONE of mine have Sal or Eric’s signature on the blade.

Liner lock color on Military S110V

Hi guys!
I have recently made barter for Military S110V and I'm suprised about the color of the liner lock. It's more of mat gray.
Is it normal for this version?
Thanks for your replys :)

May I ask where you're from / which mountains you're heading to?
I am a lot in the mountains too, my favorite "serious" mountain folder is a Pac Salt 1 SE: Light, a lot of cutting edge, and the serrated edge stays sharp forever and is a real cutting- beast (see pic below ;) )

On they fight, for they're right, yes, but who's to say?

Re: Non-Stainless Blade Models From Spyderco

My personal preference would be for 52100, but we don't make a regular model in that. That's what I forged when I was forging and it really takes an exceptional edge. It's a ball bearing steel and ball bearings steels generally make good blade steels.

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

Welcome to the forum! :)
Thank you!

That´s a nice knife! I´d have nothing against owning a PM2 (or even better: The big brother Millie...) in an easily to sharpen tool steel that takes a nice, "used" look myself- though I´d probably pair it with Micarta- or wooden scales eventually.
Millie ...
