Re: New Tenacious Frame Lock in D2?
Well since the m4 tenacious is 175€ here i presume this one will be at least 200€. I think spyderco will not really place the tag of budget knife on this one. So i would be amazed if its cheaper then 200 myself. You and others are probably right here. It is going to continue the trend of Chinese Sp...

Re: New Tenacious Frame Lock in D2?
Yeah don’t get too excited guys. Spyderco’s pricing is always higher than I think the market could bear. And their Chinese knives don’t always pan out price wise (Alcyone/Polestar 😞). Just to give y'all an idea of the current market and what is coming from the potential outsourcing partners here, T...

Re: Sneaky Sneaky Shot Show Reveals
That could be but rit dye is almost impossible to find here and its more like 30€ if you so happen to find it . And then its always black or maybe grey that's it... That's a shame. You can't order it online? The Rit DyeMore for synthetic material is what you want and it can work wonders. Red would ...

Re: New Tenacious Frame Lock in D2?
I wonder if there is any way to know more about what maker they're using for the D2 Tenacious. I've been wanting to try out TwoSun for years, but their knives have been a little too out there for me (kinda ZT-esque?). I'm pretty sure Spyderco doesn't switch makers for a particular model barring som...

New Tenacious Frame Lock in D2?
So it looks like we are getting a special Tenacious Frame Lock in Chinese D2. I know a bunch of us have been lobbying Sal for upgrades from 8Cr13Mov across the board and while the S35VN Tenacious is certainly an upgrade, this is both interesting and unexpected. Listening to Eric talk about this, it ...

Re: Can We Get Better Clip Screws?
Had a Tenacious LW and a Tenacious LW S35vn and wanted to swap the scales. Took 2 knives apart and couldn't put 2 knives back together. I've taken so many knives apart I couldn't believe I ended up failing. Got so desperate after 2 hours I ended up torching all the loctite off and cleaning them wit...

Re: If laws and public perception were no issue, would you carry a different knife?
I'm lucky to live in a place with no legal restrictions. However, I'm still mindful of social norms, presenting well at meetings, not melting snowflakes at the grocery store, etc. So for instance, it would be more comfortable to carry a firearm OWB without concern but I take the hit in going conceal...

Re: MicroJimbo?
I'm interested in this one but the ergos are a gamble. It could be awesome but I won't know until I get it in hand. The real question for me is how it stacks up against the Wharncliffe Dragonfly. That's one where I didn't expect it to fit my hand well but it does. In fact, the Wharncliffe Dragonfly ...

Re: Can We Get Better Clip Screws?
If I understand your question, the clips would have to be redesigned to accept flathead screws (countersunk), and then said screws would have to be provided. I'm not sure that a stamped clip could be properly countersunk. All of my clips using countersunk or recessed screws are milled. Seem like to...

Re: Can We Get Better Clip Screws?
can't say I've ever had issues with spydercos clips or clip screws. "have" to get a deep carry clip? the stock clips do not function at all for you? I know I'm not alone in having had a screw strip. I'm not saying it always happens or anything, just that it has happened to me once. I've h...

Re: EDC recommendation: Native 5 LW – S30V or SPY27?
... The Native 5 LW handle is basically all hot spot since they made the corners so sharp. It looks nice but does not feel in the hand for me. I don't have a Native 5 so I can't speak to the specific ergonomics, but remember that a lot can be done with a little sandpaper. What started as annoyance ...

Can We Get Better Clip Screws?
So there I was, trying to justify another Spyderco. The impulse almost won out but ultimately fizzled. It was mostly the fact that I'd have to get another MXG clip for deep carry. That's certainly a subjective choice but what really bothered me is (1) I've had issues with the T6 clip screws in the p...

Re: dragonfly lc200n wharncliffe?
The Wharncliffe Dragonfly is my EDC MVP. It is often a secondary carry and sometimes a primary carry. I have one that lives permanently in the pocket of my favorite jacket. It's just about perfect for what it is. That said, the lack of stainless alternatives is disappointing. I don't really have a p...
