Re: Which Spyderco for a Reliable and Versatile EDC?
Are there any legal restrictions where you are regarding blade length, locking vs non-locking, visible pocket clips, etc. that would affect your choice? How about company policies regarding knives?

Re: Manix 2 Question
I have two Manix 2's -- a LW and a G10 -- that had springs significantly stiffer than what I'm used to. The LW "broke in" nicely but the G10 was still very stiff. In retrospect, I think I learned how to work the lock better over time.
I decided to use the G10 as a project knife. I swapped the G10 ...

Re: Office Workers: What do you EDC?
Like others, I usually carry a SAK in addition to a Spydie. 99% of the time, the SAK is a Cadet because it doesn't draw any negative attention and it's handy for other tasks. The other knife used to be a Para 3 LW until I got my first the Sage 5 LW and one of them is in my pocket almost every day I ...

Count me in for one. Based on my experience with a K390 Endela, a Manix in this steel is sure to be a winner.

Re: Trinity of SpyderCo's
And to me, the sage 5 lw represents the pinnacle of 3” pocket knife design, period…s30v, spy27, rex 121, maxamet, m4 (if you can find one), whatever your style is…it’s allll good.
This is a really good recommendation. The Sage 5 LW comes in a variety of steels, blade coatings, and scale colors ...

Re: Manix Question
I didn't pay much attention to the Manix until I held a G10 version. Great balance, fully ambi, and it felt robust, but I wasn't convinced it was for me. Then I held a LW model. That's when I "got it" and I've picked up several LW'. My favorite is the Knife Joker LW in translucent green. I converted ...

Re: Delaware knife laws and Spyderco tenacious 3.39
@DreamSQ
Have you considered a fixed blade knife for camp tasks (e.g., prepping wood for a fire, striking ferro rod, cutting line, etc.) and a folder for food prep? This seems to be a common pairing so your "food knife" doesn't get wood sap and other sticky things on it.

Re: Need suggestions for EDC in black slacks
The Delica and Chaparral are outstanding choices. I want to suggest the Para 3 LW in DLC. The black wire clip is barely noticeable and the knife so light that it won't weigh down your pocket.
