Re: I grossly underestimated the Native Chief

Well, I'm in Germany, so sending it in would cost me around $50... one way, that is. And it's a sold out sprint run, so... yeah. If you bought yours in DE - did you consider sending it to the seller? After all, we get 2 years warranty here ... "Gesetzliches Rückgaberecht" ... 14 days, so ...

Re: I grossly underestimated the Native Chief

How stable is the lock on yours all? My Rex45 Chief turns out to be a really wonky knife when used... I was expecting some up and down movement since lock rock seems to be considered normal on Spyderco back locks, but I can almost see the blade moving up when I push through (rather thin) cardboard ...

Re: M4 Native Chief - Impressions, reviews, etc.

My M4 Chief arrived today and the blade is as beautiful as I imagined. The rest of the knife could be better. The scales stand about 1mm proud of the backspacer. The fit and finish on my S30V chief is outstanding with the backspacer perfectly flush with the scales. The jade scales are also about .5...

Re: Disappointed with first Spyderco

I think the problem here is expectations on the one hand (first Spyderco) and experience on the other (Spyderco fans). When you are not what we consider a "knife guy" (which in most cases means you're kind of a steel nerd and a knife collector to a certain extent), but you want to purchase...

Re: Disappointed with first Spyderco

I've got 2 H-1 Dragonflys (and 4 other Dragonflys). To be clear, I have not had the problems that you are having with them. My Dragonfly experience has been a positive one. But I have with other knives. I have a set of high quality Wiha Torx drivers, loctite, 90% rubbing alchohol, qtips, knife pivo...

Pretty sure it's gonna be one of the bestsellers, most likely the PM2.

I'd like to see the Astute in MagnaCut

M4 Native Chiefs are arriving today.

This thread is for reporting on fit and finish, sharpness, how they work for you after carrying them etc.

I got multiples today and immediately stuck one in my pocket.

Well, it's safe to say when your life depends on a knife, you don't want a folder, you want a fixed... in any other scenario it's just personal preference.

Re: Military 2

Is there any difference? How you can get light use in harsh conditions, this is the cause of hard use. Maybe for english/other language minded person this not the same but for me it is. Thanks, that was very clarifying! Yes, to me there is a distinction between the two. A construction worker or ind...
