Have a St. Nicks Para 3 LW that has a blade that chips from just general EDC use, is this normal for this steel? The reason I bought this knife because I heard this was a pretty balanced steel.

I really like the handle scales upgrade. It’s like the inverse of the Caribbean scales(swapped black and yellow pattern) but far grippier.

Now that’s funny right there!

I had thought for a long time that I wanted a Caribbean but when I was finally able to handle one this week I found that I really did not like feel of the handle scales. They felt really slick and plastic-y, not at how I imagined they'd feel.

I found sharpening serrations the edge gets burrs just like plain edge knives. I started using the flesh side of a strop and the serrations popped to life after that.

I have no issue with it at all. It’s better in my opinion than shaking the table with a dull restaurant knife.
