Re: Military 2. What exactly is going on?

Ric: no, it should have the same blade length as normal Millie

Well well, only thing I have to do is just wait.....I am a bit sad that comp lock Millie come first but oh well, I guess I am in the weird camp that don't like comp lock...so still waiting for that Stop lock.

Re: Military 2. What exactly is going on?

Stop lock, 4 way clip and the same handle and blade. Ok, I could live without the 4 way clip.....but make it happened Spyderco.

Re: Spyderco/Murray Carter Kitchen Knife Collaboration.

I was too harsh on Murray. I'm just not a big fan of his work or his arrogance. Doesn't he claim to have made 25,000 blades? Given he started when he went to Japan at age 18, and he's probably about 30 years older by now, I'd you do the math he's averaged almost 2.5 blades per day for 30 years stra...

Re: Spyderco/Murray Carter Kitchen Knife Collaboration.

Well, Carter is not a knifemaker, more like a bladesmith. He learned traditional japanese techniques and because of that he is using primarily simple easy to forge steels (white, blue, superblue....) in a traditional san-mai style. His opinions are based on those traditions. And like to be honest, I...

Re: Province - First Impressions.

I also made some sheaths....leather ones were more on the rubbish side but they were ok.
But with kydex I could make some good sheath even when I am complete incompetent noob. Maybe I will made kydex for Province....if I buy it.

Re: Province - First Impressions.

Thank you Jim.
I have a mindset that after some time you get used to all things ....it's 50:50 if I buy this knife or something else for Christmas.

Re: Province - First Impressions.

Question for Alex or Jim or whoever carried this knife on your belt. One thing that I don't like is the sheath, particularly how low is the loop for belt. How much irritating is the knife when you are carrying it?

Re: Task for a photoshop professional

Yeah, I see what you mean....I could improve my picture a bit.....if I move the hole a bit lower and flatten the spine......maybe later....maybe we could make it a normal design out of it.

Re: Task for a photoshop professional

.... But I have to be honest: Not the best looking knife... :o Yeah, it´s ugly as sin :D Who would have though that just replacing one blade with another is not going to be the most aesthetically pleasing thing in the world? :p But it reminds me a bit of a Chaparral...mostly the little hump on the ...

Re: Task for a photoshop professional

So, I played with it a bit more today. I take Para 3 blade, resize it to match LilN blade, match the pivots and then I add another bit of blade that the jump between the scale and blade is now gone. https://i.imgur.com/Vi5OgAK.jpg Everybody has a preference, but I think making Lil Para is like makin...

Re: Task for a photoshop professional

You could match the LilN scales to Para 3.....but it will be no longer Lil Native but regular size Native :D

Re: Task for a photoshop professional

I am playing with it right now but I can´t think of way that it could work. Para 3 has a hump and Native does not. And that is one big problem. If you just slap Para 3 blade in Lil Native there is a jump down. If you scale Para 3 blade up to match the scales the blade is just too big. in this pictur...

Re: Pacific Salt 2

Wouldnt the base version just be in next years catalog at the beginning of the year? Instead of the first reveal? Im also curious if we ever got a definitive answer on lc200n. I believe there was a prototype. I also believe it was said that it wants to be done. I dont see any reason it wouldnt happ...

Re: Spyderco Military and Paramilitary 2 upcoming sprints and exclusives

Maybe we get a X-Mas sprint run featuring white chocolate coated blade and red and green G10 handles with candies. :D

Joking aside, I don´t think that this year we get a new Millie.....maybe in spring of 2020.

Re: Anyone else hoping for a BBS exclusive Military in k390?

People who think that prices in US are high should take a look at european shops and then convert price to USD.
Basic S30V satin Military cost around 200 €- more or less 220 USD.

Re: Bento Box Customer Service...

1) I have heard multiple people on forums and social media admit to ordering 2 or 3 of a knife so they can cherry pick their favorite and return the rest. That is likely why some dealers label some folks as chronic returners. My brain can't understand why would someone do that. If your knife is goi...
