Re: Who is into fixed blades?

I just found out that one ,,local,, knife making online shop carries Vanadis 4E..... 3,8 mm stock, 500 mm long, that is plenty for 2 ,,full size,, knives. But the cost for the belts is going to be the same as for the steel itself :D  Not sure if I am going this route, maybe. If I could sell som...

Re: Need input on knife desing

Funny how I completly change my mind about the design.
It depends on if I could thin my collection, I would like to sell two knives and then I could make one or two fixed blade.

Re: Sal, are there any plans for the normal Stretch 2 FRN

I am thinking K390 in a SSS would be the ultimate hunting knife. I know I am stoked about the XL SSS Sal has mentioned that is in development. My next year Spyderco will be either XL Stretch or Military. I am at a point of buying 1 - 2 folders a year, so the desing must be really perfect. Military ...

Re: Manix2 Backlock - Lightweight?

There is this saying: you don't step twice in the same river. I am not sure if we ever see another variation of Manix backlock. Mainly because the Manix backlock was discontinued fairly soon, after 2 years IIRC, so the sales were not that great I guess. For me, I would like to see big Manix backlock...

Re: Pac salt green frn lc200n shipping to dealers!

I am also thinking between PE or SE. One thing that I am not happy even after many times sharpening my Pacific Salt 1 is the level of sharpness that I am getting. It should be very sharp after white rod, but I think it is a bit lacking. So that's why I am not sure about another SE Spyderco. No, I do...

This knife just screams for a black blade.

Might just pick up the black Pac Salt in the meantime.
RIT dye is your friend.
BTW I love the bright green colour

Man, seeing you posting here, for a moment I hoped the ffg Pac Salt would have hit European stores...

But no, actually we haven't even seen the Rock Jumper yet, let alone the new Pac Salt... :o
I would say it will be maybe around early November, maybe.

I only wish the release a serrated ffg Delica in the same combo. I am going to purchase the serrated green Pac Salt for sure.
I would say it is ,,in work" model. Like, it's logical step, handle is already made, also the serration pattern, just merge them together.

Not sure about video conference, that would be next to impossible with 50+ people.
But Twitch/YouTube livestream with chat, that is doable.

Need input on knife desing

Winter is slowly coming, and it is a time that I like to make a knife (or two) again. This is a teoretical project, it might or might not happened. I have been messing with this desing. It is smaller fixed blade, blade lenght is 8,2 cm, total lenght is around 18,8 cm. Steel will be RWL-34, 2,6mm thi...

That is way too busy, but that's because of the grind, with FFG the pattern would be less busy.

Re: Future Rex 45 military & paramilitary 2 runs

Sprint runs are one and done deal.
They are not coming back, not in the same configuration as they were once released. Like, they could make REX 45 Military with green G10 scales, but not in burn orange.

My opinion is, that is kinda unlikely to have another sprint run of Military in near future.

Oh, yeah, make sense, didn't think about it this way.
Try superglue piece of plastic on the handle, so that way you will not have any riccaso left 😂😂

Re: Rock Jumper comparison thread + general info

Hey EvilD, are you going to grind that riccaso area down? It could be done with belt sander, or a dremel. i guess you dont have to grind all the way to the spine, just thinned it down around the snag area.

Re: Straight Razor from Spyderco

Yes I am a safety razor man at this point, shaving with what many people would call the old fashioned double edge blades (which do a better job than all these fancy modern multi-blade systems they use to skin you out of your money). A straight razor is the next logical step. I'll be eagerly awaitin...

I have to say, that this knife intriguing me so much, but on the other hand, it will be so expensive that it could be a no go for me. I have not have more opposite thoughts on a knife in a long time.
Hope that next Reveal will bring it.

Re: Vanax PM2 Lets Do This!!!

Am I the only one who is not interested in this steel? Like, what it is so special about it?
According to Larrin testing, toughness is similar to CPM-154, and edge retention is similar to S35VN, but below S30V in his testing.

Yes, it's corrosion proof, but, like, that's it?
