Re: What is your dominant hand / forum statistics

I am right-handed, right eye dominant, shooting right hand bow. I strongly believe that you should use any tool as you want, not as someone else says. For example, I read right hand person should hold axe with left hand closer to the end of handle and right hand closer to bit. I am holding it exactl...

Guys, can someone of you measure thickness of the scales on Shaman?

The answer is 0.183" Pancake. I did a scale swap today, and was able to get a good measurement on it.
Thank you very much.

Tiny little Chaparral FRN....and a Pac Salt in my back pocket.

... a MIGHTY capable combo. Perhaps even the best I can think of... :)
For sure, big serrated edge and small plain are going together like a good cheese and wine.

Re: Spyderco 2020 Lists: Delivered & Upcoming

I wonder what the first REX45 model is going to be... Well, the shaman, and the manix lw and g10 models were the only ones with samples at SHOT, so my guess is those. And they've already made a batch of rex45 shaman blades for the KC model, so... Thanks for info....I might pick up the Manix.. or th...

Re: Tanto PM2 Support Thread

I tend to agree with this sentiment. I have a feeling this won't be a limited exclusive, but will just be exclusively available through BladeHQ. Yeah, this makes a lot of sense. Like Warstein posted earlier, this model was announced year ago, so it has some research and development, it would be kin...

Re: Sun/Moon Chappy

I am still waiting for a Chap I want. I own the CF version and it is awesome ( and I don't really care for CF). I heard rumors of a bronze version and a sheep horn version. IIRC Sal mentioned that they tested horn (not sure from what animal, I guess buffalo or something other) and they found that c...

Have you think about Cold Steel Drop forged Survivalist?
Big Piece of 52100, 8 inch blade, FFG and you can get one with thin scales.

Re: A Tale of Two Hawkbills

Don´t have Salt 2, but I have Pacific Salt and I have to agree, the serrations are gorund kinda deep and they are very spiky. But after some sharpenings they are getting a bit better.
I do like the Byrd Hawkbill.....I wish it comes in bigger size, like Cara Cara Hawkbill.

Re: Forum Knife 2020 - No Holds Barred!!!

Competition chopper? This knife sounds very cool though. But what is the competition, do cooks get together and see who can chop their way fastest through a bag of onions? Competition chopper is for Bladesports. Really big guys (and girls) are chopping 2x2 block of wood, rope, tennis ball, more woo...

Re: Forum Knife 2020 - No Holds Barred!!!

A competition chopper :D
10 inch blade of CPM 4V, FFG, 0.4 mm behind the edge, 6 mm spine, tapered tang, micarta scales.

Usefulness? Zero. Cool factor? Over 9000!
