Kapara Salt

I have come to the conclusion that the Kapara, with an LC200N blade and grippy G10, or FRN, scales, would be pretty much my ideal EDC. If you’re already making those changes, why not go for a full on Salt version? It also fits in nicely with the designer’s vision of an EDC folder that works well for...

Re: Native Chief fan club!

My favorite Spyder (Siren is giving it a run for it's money, though). Looking forward to the REX45 sprint, but am really hoping for uncoated 4V down the road.

Uncoated 4V please!

I really like the 4V in my Province, and would like to get a folder, or two, in this steel. The problem is, I don't want DLC. I get that it's popular with some, but I can't stand it. The only option without is the Fradon Manix, but that is hollow grind, another dislike. Please Spyderco, St Nick's, o...

Endela Wharncliffe?

I'm wondering if Spyderco has any plans to release a Wharnie Endela? I had an Endura, but, IMO, the blade was too long for this profile. I think an Endela would be just right, especially in SE.

Which Spyderco stainless is least prone to accidental edge damage?

One of the things I like about steels like Cruwear, 4V, HAP40 and Vtoku2 is that they are less likely to get dings or chips when accidentally hitting something hard. In your experience, which Spyderco stainless (excluding H1, since I am quite fond of FFG) is most resistant to dings & chips?

Re: What's your favorite thin & slicey Spydie?

I don't know if fixed blades count, but I recently got a Gayle Bradley Junction. Being thin & slicey is a big part of why I love it.

Re: HAP40 or REX45?

I voted REX45, because one of my very favorite Spyders (Native Chief) is coming out in it. I have the Stretch 1, Caly 3 and Wharncliffe D4 in HAP40, though, and am very happy with them.

Did anyone else notice that Eric showed a Native 5 LW in SPY27 and cobalt blue, which is NOT in Reveal 4?!

Re: Knifejoy Exclusive Para Military 2

How about being grateful to these dealers for fronting the money, and assuming the risk, to give us an opportunity to get something that wouldn't be available otherwise, rather than whining about how they go about selling it? Would you rather they just didn't bother? Sure they make money on some of ...

Re: Kapara LW?

As Wartstein said, I'm not saying discontinue the current version, but add an FRN one. I think it could be a close to perfect EDC for me, and maybe others. I'd be happy with BD1N, if it would significantly lower the price, and make this wonderful design accessible to more people. As has been propose...

Kapara LW?

I love my Kapara, but I do find myself wishing it had grippier scales. Anyone else interested in an FRN version? I'm fine with either full liners, or just what is needed for the compression lock.

Native Chief sprint or exclusive?

Anybody heard anything about a sprint or exclusive of this model? It’s one of my very favorites, and I'd love to see it in Cruwear and/or CTS-XHP.

I believe the 2020 catalog should be released soon. I wonder if there will be any surprises in it, or will we have to wait until the next Reveal?

I understand this thinking, but the Caly 3 really needs to be gotten “in hand” to appreciate it. One of Sal's very best designs, IMO.

Re: The Superior Delica

Doc Dan, As far as a Spyder rival to the Delica, do you have, or have any experience with, the Caly 3? If you don't, I recommend looking into it. It is discontinued, but can be found at a reasonable price. If the forthcoming Caly 3.5 Lightweight does well, I am hoping we will also see a Caly 3 Light...

Re: What models would you like to see with the side button compression lock like the Smock

I'm left-handed, and the standard implementation of the compression lock works well for me. I haven't tried a Smock, but my concern is that the button release may be less lefty friendly.

My old Pacific Salt PE. I carry it loose in my pocket for prying, scraping, lending, or anything else I don't want to use my other Spyders for.

Looks like you've got some pretty decent foliage color. It's been amazing here in NW Vermont.
