Re: Me New Motto Mates!

You're right, it is intentional. I don't understand why people don't realize that not everyone gets an exclusive/sprint; only so many are made = not everyone gets one. I missed every single Rex-45 sprint yet I didn't complain because that's life. Do people not realize that Spyderco is literally the ...

Re: TKJ Spyderco exclusive cruwear ????

[/quote] The other drops are done much smoother. Be online at the drop time and try to get yours. Let's reiterate what happened with the TKJ drop. 1.) Some preorder's were sent out in invoices to emails via his Instagram chat. This was before the preorder was "live" to the rest of the world. [/quote...

Re: Sprints

It is amazing how many people complain about not getting a hold of sprints/exclusives. That's literally a part of the design of sprints/exclusives; not everyone gets one. I didn't get any of the Rex-45 sprints or any of the M390 DLT exclusives, even though I tried, yet I'm not moaning and crying. I ...

Re: Sprints

One thing I don't believe anyone has mentioned is the upfront cost to Spyderco, in both $$$ and time, if they were to double or triple their sprint run numbers. I missed out on all the previous Rex-45 variants but I'm not upset because Spyderco churns out sprints and exclusives like crazy and now lo...

Re: KC Exclusive Shaman Rosewood REX 45

Concerning the scales, I really wish U.S. manufacturers would look to the U.S. Timber industry. Rosewood is a broad statement of foreign products so no one really knows what tree species it really came from or from what country. The U.S. contains the most desired hardwood timber species on the plan...

Re: Manix 2 Cruwear Smooth G10

Mine just arrived and it's just as one would expect, perfection! This is my first Manix 2 and I was surprised by how buttery smooth the action is; can do the spydy-flick easily. I like the smooth G10 scales on the Manix 2 more than I did on the PM2.

Re: Cruwear Micarta Native follow up to the Shaman??

A Cruwear Native following the Shaman would be awesome and I would purchase them both, preferably in G10, which I believe is superior in every way to micarta.

I really hope the S90V/CF Shaman isn't the compromise over the Cruwear/micarta version. I'd MUCH rather have the latter.
Agreed. Also, a CQI Military in Cruwear is an insta-buy for me.

To my fellow Shaman fans before you freak out remember that there is more than one exclusive in the works. The Cruwear and Micarta is still coming.
I came here to ask that exact question lol. Appreciate the info!

Re: What is your favorite Spyderco in CPM Cruwear?

Just purchased a PM 2 in Cruwear set me back set me back $218.00 how is that for the secondary market on a sprint run? Did I do okay? Not sure what they went for originally guessing around $165.00 KC version with the smooth G10 was $155 when they came out. Thanks, well $63.00 guess I can’t complain...

Re: What is your favorite Spyderco in CPM Cruwear?

It would be a CQI Military if it ever happens. I had the KC Cruwear PM2 and sold it on a whim and really regret it. Really hoping some Cruwear models come out in 2019, specifically a CQI Military then a Native and PM2.

Another vote for a Cruwear Native w/dark gray G10 here. Make it with hot pink scales for all I care, I just want one lol.

Re: Favorite Steels

Cruwear. It's virtually the only non-stainless steel that I can carry in my neck of the woods (very hot, humid, long summers) for some reason, and its edge retention and toughness is ridiculously awesome. Really wish it was used more.

Re: M4 Shaman Exclusive

I have had the opposite results with my M4 Mantra, it refuses to rust or even patina. I had a Rex45 PM2 that started rusting almost instantly. I put it in my pocket, got in the car and drove to the job. Thirty minutes later when I opened it to cut some packaging at the jobsite, there was rust all o...

Re: M4 Shaman Exclusive

I've found that I can't carry bare M4 in the spring or summer. Even with a fresh coat of protectant, I saw pitting start in less than 2 hours. DLC-coated M4 fares much better. Thinking about how often I use my s30v shaman in the garage, I may end up skipping this sprint. Still waiting for the Cruwe...
