Re: Spyderco proprietary coatings
I think they have snuck it out in one model, here a few months back. I can't remember which one now, but I was at a friends house who is a Spyderco Collector Club member, and we were opening up all of his boxes that he got in that month, and one blade (coated) was definitely not like the other DLC ...

Re: Discontinued for 2026
I don't think we will lose sight of M4. Such a great steel! Even with the Crucible . . . . . bankruptcy, many, many other companies make it.
Bring it on, at 64.5 hrc+! :bug-red

Re: CPM 15v Manix 2
Weird. When I opened mine, flashed a light in the handle and pulled back the cage, I was able to see a silver/metallic ball sticking out of the black cage. I was curious about this, and checked right when the knife showed up about a week ago. I've already gone and purchased a ceramic ball from ...

Thank you very much for finding and sharing the video, w3tnz :smlling-eyes

Did I miss a memo somewhere? :thinking
A Reddit user has just recently done a scale swap with his new LW Manix 2 15V, and found a black ceramic ball bearing inside.
I remember hearing about this becoming a possibility , before the Manix 2 Salt was going to be produced. I never heard that this ...

Re: CPM 15v Manix 2
Do we think that opening up my now used FY and finding a black ceramic ball bearing inside, really tells us for sure that the AY's were also all this way?
I just finished looking at all my Manix's from the outside. All the older ones have a steel-colored ball. The 15V looks black.
Manix ...

Re: St. Nicks exclusive Shaman numbers made
If the Spydiewiki is correct it says there was only one drop and ~425 made. Is that correct? No wonder I can’t find one! Been searching forever.
That sure could be possible. Back in early 2020, St. Nicks only offered up about 500 Manix 2's for sale. Spyderco normally asks for minimum order ...
