A Gray lightweight with Cru-wear, I'm in!

Although I don't think my plain Jane G-10 S30V Yojimbo 2 is heavy at all, in fact it's super easy to carry! I like lightweights but no matter what a LW will never be as slick as a G-10 version, my G-10 Yojimbo might be my slickest Spyderco I own, the action is superb with that big ole fat blade!

I would like to see a LW option eventually. I think Spyderco should resume producing trainers for the existing Yo2 model, it seems like they haven't shipped any in years.

Excellent! I have LOVED wharncliffes in tool steels. I’m not great at sharpening, but I can sharpen a tool steel! That makes me carry them more than my S30V blades. If a Yo2 out in 15V, that would be epic for my tastes!

An FRN-handled Yojimbo 2 would also make a great platform for a Yojimbo 2 Salt (in either LC200N or MagnaCut), as I think bi-directional FRN would maintain its "grippiness" over time much better than textured G10 (my Yojimbo 2's handle scales, while still providing enough grip, have gotten noticeably smoother over several years of regular work use). I would absolutely love a blacked-out Yojimbo 2 Salt, personally.

I think an FRN version of the Yojimbo 2 would also be a great way to make the design more accessible to users who might find the standard Yojimbo 2 to be above their price range. A lower-priced Yojimbo 2 in FRN & CTS-BD1N would be a great "entry-level" Yojimbo (and for a purpose-designed SD knife, BD1N's lower edge retention relative to S30V wouldn't be that big of a deal, IMHO). An FRN model would also be a more budget-friendly platform for a Yojimbo 2 trainer, I think.
