Not an expert here, but I think it looks like a Chicago to me. Again, I'm not an expert.

That's probably what it was. It does look like a Chicago in the straight on shot with the better camera, and a very nice looking one at that! I've handled the Chicago and carried a Cat and they're both excellent, but both were seconds so they certainly didn't look anywhere near as good as that one! Nice photos.

I just got these from Jay at Warriors and Wonders. I haven't seen him since the Winter Olympics. Thanks Jay.

The 10 inch Shun Classic goes well with my Classic set. I also have a Ken Onion Shun chef set.

Hi everybody,

This is Roberto from Spain. I love these folders and a year ago started buying them regularly, so my collection is not as huge as Brian's... :) This photo is a little dark and Spydercos are a little too oiled but I wanted to share my latest acquisitions with you.

I guess you all know but here we have Para-Military 2, Matriarch 2010 Sprint Run PE, Perrin PPT and Superhawk. The first one is just a slight improvement over previous model, but that's not an easy task when we're talking about achieving perfection. I chose Matriarch in PE just for being more different to Civilian, and I swear it cuts very very well as I had an accident closing it with one hand having my right index too low... ouch! Perrin PPT was slightly smaller in hand than I thought, but its ergonomics are superb and it's one of my favourites bugs. Finally, I must admit that I bought Superhawk because of its reduced price, but when I opened the box I fell in love!

Regards,

Roberto

They are .45s, they are Remington GoldenSabre's in the back and Winchester Supreme Elite Bonded PDX1 's. Both some really great hollow points!

Hi Roberto, welcome to the forum! :) I hope you'll enjoy your time here. You've acquired some very nice spyders; I especially like the SuperHawk and Para2. Out of curiosity, what are knife laws and attitudes like in Spain?

I really want a Pink Manix 2, nice catch.

I LOVE the digi-camo G10 scales, did you make those up or did you purchase it like that? I would like to have a camo Manix 2

I wish that I could say that I made them, but in all honesty, I'm nowhere near that talented. I actually found it on ebay, but later found out that a fellow forum member was the genius behind it. Marcus the Bushbadger, is his signature, I can't remember his exact screen name. Very talented. If you can find him you should take a look at his album, he has done some incredible work, including this Manix. I was very surprised with the quality. He actually trimmed down the handle and changed the ergonomics quite a bit. It feels GREAT in hand, almost better than the original.

Thank you for your welcome SaturnNyne! Well, here in Spain you are allowed to carry a not longer than 11 cms (4.33 inches) one-edge blade. This can be lockable and as far as I know balisongs are allowed as well. So far this sounds good, but blades longer than 11 cms and/or with two edges are only permited for collection purposes, so you can't get them outside your home. Sometimes I like to carry a rescue/tactical knife out in the country, but I guess authorities can seize it. Automatic folders are prohibited, even if some folders open faster than them... but it's the law... sigh...

Our grandfathers, and fathers who lived in small villages used to have always a folder with them, now these items aren't very popular and everything different from a multi-tool is very likely to be taken off by a police if seen. Of course if he finds a balisong when you're at a bar's gate you can say bye bye to it. I think the laws aren't that different from some states there, but knife collectors and users are much less popular, so you better don't use pocket clips here.

I've just taken better photos of Para2 and Superhawk...

Regards,

Roberto

If you haven't had one, I tell you it's much better in your hand. I wasn't a fan of this folder (maybe biased for some funny critics I read) but when I unboxed it I realised how a good buy it was.

The handle is carbon fiber but texturized (good grip, not as other CF handles)... let's say is an even better looking G-10. The ergonomics are fantastic and the blade is quite thick. Compression lock is OK for me, as I don't think it's better suited for left-handed.

The look is great, beautiful and aggresive. Months ago it was expensive, but now is a must-have.

Regards,

Roberto
