Fyi... I have been getting shipping notification email's from BladeHQ very late in the process. It's better to just check your order status on their site.

There are times I never get a shipping email from BladeHQ, or it comes after the knife arrives. Best to check order status on the site. My order for a Dodo also shows as "shipping label created" as of this afternoon. We'll see when it actually starts moving.

Mine shows label created yesterday at 12:47pm and left Doraville, GA at 9:25am today with a delivery date of Tuesday by 7pm. Kinda strange since it's supposedly 2nd day air and Doraville is about a 4.5 hour drive from me.

Mine left Knoxville just after midnight, expected delivery by the end of Tuesday.

Really excited for this model. The SE M4 will be interesting to try out, but I'm primarily interested in the design.

The ball on the dodo looks way more accessible one-handed from those pics.

It's more accessible period. I made this drawing when I started on the Q-ball bb cage and was curious if they would interchange. The Dodo is on the bottom.

The lock is less stiff than my PE was, but needs to be broken in. Glad I picked one up. I prunned that rose from my planter with the PE one.

The tip on the SE looks a bit more "aggressive"/negatively angled than the PE. Makes me even more excited for mine to arrive.

Looking at the back side of the SE knives can be deceptive. Kind of a forced perspective thing.

Probably true, though that scallop nearest the tip certainly seems to add extra angle just at the tip.

Serrations and hawkbills are no problem with Spyderco's sharpeners.

Mine just came in the mail. The ball lock is MUCH easier to operate/access than the lock on the Q Ball. Really looking forward to using it.

Had no idea Eric designed this one, so happy the Dodo is no longer extinct ánd has teeth now. I remember seeing CF scales for it on that one site people keep linking to and seem very pleased with. Quite the dilemma with taxes and import duties and everything... would someone mind sharing a picture as they're holding it for scale reference? Much obliged.
