I've been mostly playing Everspace when I get a chance to play. It's an interesting space rouge-like. I find myself tempted by Metroid: Dread, but I keep hearing how difficult the game is.
When this was released for download was in a terrible state basically unplayable.
Physical release had to be delayed for sometime in February due to the bad state of the gane.
GTA 3 and San Andreas are included on game card (should be ver. 1.0 .4).
Vice City requires full game download.
Now they went up to 1.06 hence many gigabytes of additional download, so in the end this is just a glorified download card.
I waited until I got some discount, it's just not worth the full price.
The Sega Genesis collection is on sale for $12. Really good deal, comes with about 40 games. Bunch of Sonic, Shinobi, Street of Rage etc. I've been playing through Sonic Spinball.
No Man's Sky - Announcement Trailer - Nintendo Switch
This should be interesting if it fits on the card

How in the world did they manage to get it running on Switch? PS4's and even PS4 pros struggle with this game.
Either way that's awesome they managed to port it. I know it had a rocky launch to say the least, but I bought it on day 1 and absolutely loved it. Put hundreds of hours into it before any of the updates just cruising around different galaxies exploring.
Highly recommended to anyone that hasn't played it, assuming performance is ok.

I wonder if they shortened the draw distance to reduce load? How big are Switch carts?
They can reduce render resolution internally, draw distance, polygon count, shadows, texture, lighting and sound quality and so on. The cards used are up to 32GB at the moment, 64 wasn't used as neither publishers nor Nintendo are willing to absorb the costs. If it comes as download only I'll probably pass.
When it was originally released on PC it was unfinished, I think they were sued by fans but they kept patching and updating, should be better now.
WRC10 for whoever likes rally, loads of content entire 2021 season 19 rallies 120 special stages in your pocket, controls are OK, 30FPS graphics so so, load times not so great

Cool! I don't have a Switch but I've been doing a lot of driving on my PC lately. I have WRC10 FIA and Dirt Rally 2.0 but haven't given them as much attention as I should since I've been spending most of my time driving Formula 1 and GT cars. Not enough to for everything but I really enjoy the rally driving. So I'll change it up one of these days soon
Of all the things I've lost I miss my mind the most!
I just downloaded Star Wars The Force Unleashed for $20. Definitely a 12-year-old game, but still fun. Haven’t tried it with the joy cons yet.
I’m still mostly playing the heck out of Dragonball Xenoverse 2. Though it’s an 8-year-old game, they’re still supporting it with fresh DLC and there are still plenty of players online.

I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.
Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

If you have any other version the game looks much better and it's cheaper.
The only advantage of Switch version is portability
@vivi I haven't had much time to play lately, but Quake 2 has been on my Switch for a few days now. This game is great, I remember playing deadmatch with my friends on Play Station 1 on split screen TV. It was a good time.
I think I'll buy Zelda Totk in the fall. Many people praise this game. I had a good time in Botw, I think it will be the same here.

I wasn't as impressed by Totk as the first game, but it still was fun. It seemed to lack the flow that the first game had, and the story didn't pan out as well. Honestly I didn't really like how the end of the story of either game was composed, mostly because Link is always just a blank slate, but it did seem like they thought about the ending at least a little more in Totk, despite the rest of the story not being as good.
The game mechanics in Totk are very interesting and innovative, but I felt like they kind of failed to have really fun objectives to use them with. It almost felt like they spent most of their time developing the mechanics, and didn't end up with the time to implement them to their potential.
Overall I think most people who liked the first game will like the second, but the second felt less polished as a game in many ways to me.
day 1 purchase for me. switch 1 is the most fun I've ever had with a console.
Grew up with a gameboy in my pocket so always appreciated portable gaming. Started with a black OG gameboy with titles like Tetris, Galaga, Zelda LA, Metroid 2 and Mario Land 2.
I remember having to choose from cutting edge 3D graphics in the mid to late 90's or NES level graphics on the GBC. I remember seeing renders on IGN around 99 of what the GBA would look like, the "third pillar" talk surrounding the DS, etc. ****, even played a virtual boy at one point.
being able to play large AAA games like Zelda BotW at home on my 4K, then take the exact same game with me to enjoy on my lunch breaks, that was a game changer. I own so many other gaming platforms and haven't touched them in years because they can't do that.
Now I'm wondering what's going to launch first - Metroid Prime 4 or Switch 2? MP4 was why I bought a Switch in the first place
Here's some of my latest physical games, which will all run on the Switch 2:
Dragon Quest Monsters is the latest in a series I've played since the GBC. It's kind of like a Pokemon / Dragon Quest mash up. This one has nice 3D graphics, changing seasons and of course a monster breeding system.
Dragon Quest 3 HD remake is an absolutely gorgeous remake of a remake. Originally called Dragon Warrior 3 in the US, it was arguably the most ambitious RPG to hit the NES. It's a huge game for 1980's standards. This version has a ton of quality of life improvements like a mini map and next objective hints. I played the **** out of the remake for GBC, which was a port of the japanese only SNES remake. Played through the first two games in anticipation of this coming out. Not a huge JRPG guy these days but this was always one of the best, so I had to try this version.
I told my kid it's funny feeling nostalgic over Pikmin. I still remember the reveal for the original, and how Nintendo used it to show off the processing power of the Gamecube, similar to the Mario 128 demo. Having that many characters on screen at once was a big deal that gen, as the PS1 and N64 couldn't come close to doing that. Never did play 2. Was inspired to grab this when my kid played Pikmin 4 at a store and was having fun.
Wildermyth is a game I had never heard of. I looked up some videos and reviews on steam and decided to give it a shot. I'm a sucker for indie games on physical. It's a fairly basic looking tactical RPG with some sort of procedural generation system for the story.
Outward....wow. I don't even remember how it got brought to my attention, but I wish I learned about it sooner. It combines elements from three of my favorite games....Dark Souls style combat, Breath of the Wild style survival mechanics, and the open world with no fast travel style of Elder Scrolls: Morrowind. I'm just now getting ready to leave the starting zone and it's honestly in contention for my favorite game of all time. Great soundtrack too.
Wizardy is a full remake of one of the oldest games in my collection, the original Wizardy 1. You can even view the original apple 2 graphics as you play, which is a neat touch. There's a wide range of options to give it a more forgiving and modern feel - or you can stick to the original rule set.
