I have not visited here as frequently as I used too, I missed this thread on such a wonderful knife. If that goes into production, I will have to own one.

Thanks Charlie. Still hoping whoever was contemplating sponsoring them moves forward with the project. Still enjoying it immensely, both for its beauty and because it retains all the ergos, pocket friendliness, and slicing ability that almost seven years of carrying one have led me to expect from a Stretch. It has been carried a number of times since I arrived in South Carolina but hasn't really seen a whole lot of use. Mostly just opening mail because, aside from that, most of the cutting I've done has been packing tape and I haven't had the heart to mess it up with tape residue. Couple new photos below, although I can't say they show signs of use.

That's one of the nicest Spydercos I've ever seen. I don't have a Stretch yet, but if this ever goes into production, that would change pretty fast. It really has the perfect "pocketknifeness" about it. I bet it would be a joy to use. Congratulations Paul.

If it stays like this (PE, VG10, Cocobolo) I'll definatly get one.
I am so hoping this will be a regular production model... :)

In spirit, yes. but I think it combines the blade from the FRN/VG-10 version with the liners, backspacer, lock, and spring from the CF/ZDP version.

Hey Deacon - beautiful knife; awesome gesture by Mr. G.

While I have no "need" of a stretch, it becomes a major want with the addition of the bolster - add me to the ranks of the envious.

I saw you mentioned being in SC, how's the smoke down there? I'm in the Southern Coastal tip of VA and we are still getting the "drift up" pretty regularly here, but today seems kinda light … hope it's not too bad where you are …

I would LOVE one of these! Super-elegant touch with the wood scales, and the Stretch platform is just right to let you get a real feel of the woods texture in-hand.
Please Sal! any flavor, ebony... ironwood...cocobolo...

Congrats, Deacon! A great gesture from Sal and well deserved!

I sincerely hope they will go into production since it's a truly great-looking spyderco.

A beautiful classical look and feel with all of Spyderco's ergonomics and function built into it. Enjoy Paul :)

I was at Bass Pro the other day and looked at a BM Bone Collector with the walnut handle. I really liked the walnut and of course the spidie hole in the blade but I just could not pull the trigger on buying it because it lacked the great Spyderco ergonomics. I want a Spyderco with a nice wood handle without sending it out to get customized. This Stretch would be perfect! Make a batch Sal!

This stretch is amazing. I love the fact that it is VG-10 and not ZDP. Would def pick one of this up if they went into production.

I'm so happy for you Paul! That is a beautiful knife and I think we all know how much you've dreamed of perhaps that EXACT knife. What a grand gesture to one of this forum's biggest contributors.
