Never dealed with them, but it looks like I'll be staying with either my local B&M shop and Newgraham. And the occasional knife from Spyderco themselves.

Five pages later I think we are all just flogging a dead horse here. I think everyone got the point. Jess got his response across to us and you can take it for what it is.

If, after reading through the posts here, someone still chooses to shop there then that is their choice but personally, I would appreciate the information to help me make an educated and informed decision.
FINALLY!
thank you. someone gets what i am trying to convey here. it is not about loosing jess money or talking negative for no reason and its not beating a dead horse.... (flogging sounds sexier :) )
this is being talked about to save others from his lies. what happens if a nube goes there for his first knife and has a typical bad experience based on jess' horrible service and gets turned off by waiting and waiting or getting a damaged knife or just plain gets ripped off. or what if some one thinks spyderco endorses these actions or any number of other issues? we are all experienced and can see the distinction, others may not. people (and here is the most obvious) should know that at the very least this horrible, vindictive, cheat is out there doing this on his own! and even though he sells spyderco and has the name spydieguys dont be fooled into thinking this is how spyderco operates. maybe its time we should have a separate area for disputes and warnings here at spy.com. other forums have them, even if its separate like an off topic thing. it is appropriate to know that he should be avoided at all cost. its no coincidence that he is always talked about. his crappy service and refusal to accept or fix criticisms is his fault, not ours. and letting people know, imo, is the right thing to do. jess had the opportunity, like usual to come and speak his mind and tell his side of the story. he didn't, he blamed others, didn't address the real problems, left a wise *** comment and left. and wont be back here until his bottom line is threatened again. cost him money and customers and he will be back wanting to be everyone's buddy....
i agree though that this SPECIFIC topic has been talked about enough. we can drop it for now i guess. just give it time and we will have another thread when someone else has experienced repeated ignored emails and pm's to his company or missing or defective products.
one last thing:
to be banned for leaving negative feedback says to the world it wasn't a one time screw up, it means he knows it was his fault and he knows that he wont be changing any of his habits and doesn't want more negative comments affecting his money intake. i wouldn't hesitate to leave poorfish a bad comment if i was wronged and i felt it wasn't made right. but that doesn't mean i would stop using them, no one is perfect but i would never expect to be able to not bid again. i know that everyone makes mistakes and maybe the next go around would be better. stopping someone from bidding means you expect to burn them again and are just avoiding a negative feedback situation to begin with.

Spider bite, eBay will cover you for situations like this. If your item wasn't as described and the seller wouldn't answer your emails, just file a dispute with eBay. They have a buyer protection policy, they'll take care of it.

Nothing more can be gained from posting to this thread. All pertinent points have been propperly beaten.

Remember shiney footprints. Or was that shiney and/or mucky footprints?

I've been warned but this thread is over.

Edit: "Nothing more can be gained from posting to this thread." I guess I should not have posted here.
Not really all that slick ;)

Ha! I almost did the same thing. eBay really needs to change that. Great app, but could probably go for an update. Congrats on the urban though- hope all goes well.

Yes it's the orange and he's doing a good job so far. I asked him if he can give me one with a centered blade and he responded pretty quickly. So I'm going to pay right now and I'll let you guys know.

Well I got the knife today and it's in good shape with the blade pretty centered like I requested and I also got a email from Jess to let me know that if I'm not pleased with the knife in any way that I can return it for a exchange or refund which is the policy on all his knives and also explaining that he doesn't just auction off all his just released new knives but he also sells them on his site so I want to correct my earlier statement. That's about it for now.

1st Posting:

I've only had 2 wining bids there
One went off without a hitch
The 2nd, the item is on back order, I only found this out
upon inquiring on it's whereabouts.

How can you have items up for auction without having them items in stock.

I'll have to see how this plays out.

Not an Ebay story but a good one none the less

Here's an example of my latest dealing  with these guys,

A couple of days ago i wake up for work (3:30pm) for nightshift and i have a voicemail " Hey this is Jess from spydieguys, there seems to have been a mix up you have sent me a :spyder: D2 Military you need to contact me ASAP"

first it was  then  at myself for mixing up addresses.

Long story short I was sending the knife back to it's original owner from a trade that did not go well ala my part of the trade (CF S30V Millie) got lost in transit  and don't ask no i didn't insure it for more than the $100 included

Anyways Jess has since sent the knife to it's owner and he did for free.

Sorry about deviating from the original topic but i had to share this story.

Welcome to the forums Ruger95.

I don't need to get into principle of selling items that are currently out of stock over ebay (it's more understood in the drop/ship world of e-Retail shops as you never get an actual picture of the item being shipped). I never used Ebay for my online business a couple years ago for that reason alone.

Hopefully that pans out for you. I'm sure it will with a little added time.

Please look around at the other threads here as it's a place that's full of good people and fun knives. :)

I've bought several Spydercos from Spydieguys... a couple through eBay and a few directly. Every time shipping was like IMMEDIATE and I had the knives in a couple of days. NICE! One of the knives I decided to return just because it was a little bigger than I thought I wanted at the time (since decided I should have kept it!) Anyway, Spydieguys graciously accepted the return without batting an eye and I applied the credit toward another knife.

Every time I've been very impressed with how quickly I have received my knives from them.

I would think that after all this, Jess has probably gotten his ducks pretty much well aligned into a tidy row. ;) I sure would.

I will buy again from Spydieguys... so far I've had no reason not to.

In 2010 I bought two more knives from Spyderguys. Great service.
