"The Ant" would have been suitable too, put some CF scales and this little one really looks like an ant ;) Again, congratulations Chad and Spyderco for yet another great piece :)

Aloha Knifebrother,

Thanks Alex. :o Not only for your kind words, but for also being there for me from the start to finish of this Adventura...oops, adventure. I think it safe to say, that your renditions of my freehand art is what *did it*...I am blessed to know you and God indeed! ;)

Take care, and God bless

Well what else can i say but WOW . I think it is safe to say I am a fan of small :spyder: 's, and this one is no exception. I have to say both thank you and congradulations to Chad on a job well done in designing what may be the EDC of 2006. I cant wait to get one, and will be waiting Kristi's Spec's post (not patiently mind you). It goes without saying, job well done Chad and Spydercrew.

Is this the line to get a Lava ?
I have always liked spyderco's small knives and this one looks great! I like the look of the handle a lot.
Congrats on the design and seeing it brought to life!

Hey Daywalker!

I’ve handled the Lava during the S.H.O.T. show and I have to admit that it is a pretty neat knife. I will purchase this knife when it becomes available. BTW, I got a chance to talk to Ed Schempp at the proto display. He’s a really nice guy and I had a great time chatting with him. :D

In the future, to have fun with the name and look, how about red FRN or G-10 and a black blade... or just all black...

Chad, I also am not a believer in coincidence... certainly not that many altogether! Maybe Sal REALLY picked Lava BECAUSE of your Avatar. Nah... then he he would have called it Anakin or Obi or... pocketsaber! :D What was the name of that planet in E3?

Mike,

The name of the planet was: Mufasta. I believe that is the correct spelling. :)
