Excellent. You have good genes and/or good luck. All I can say is that is is very painful to bump your hearing pro off while on a shooting range. I double up these days.bearfacedkiller wrote: ↑Mon Dec 06, 2021 11:02 amI’m not denying the damage, just saying that you won’t notice it.
I always wear ear protection when target shooting but never have while hunting. After 30 years of hunting my hearing test still shows no loss and I don’t have tinnitus. I can still hear a mosquito fart at 80 paces.

I think my point got lost. I always wear ear protection when target shooting and I would never suggest that someone doesn’t. I was just trying to make the point that in a SD scenario that you probably wouldn’t be able to tell a .38 and .357 apart.benben wrote: ↑Mon Dec 06, 2021 1:23 pmMe too, for the last year plugs & muffs at the range.JRinFL wrote: ↑Mon Dec 06, 2021 1:05 pmExcellent. I have once or twice touched one off when I forgot to put them on and it is in fact painful. Definitely not a great idea.

Pretty decent deal on some PPU 185gr JHP .45auto at the Sportsmansguide.
For this day and age anyways.
Right now it's $30.39 for a 50rd box.
You can get a 1000 rd cade of 185gr jhp cheaper than ya can a 1,000 rd case of 230gr fmj
That's not too bad, all things considered.
Just thought I'd let yall know.

That’s not bad. Last time I bought .45 I paid $250 for 500 rounds of Wolf. Ouch! Steel is supposed to be cheap.

I really hope ammo gets back down to 2019 prices.
I know I didn't help by buying what I just did though.
Re: The Last Gun You Bought
Kind of had no choice, just bought a G42 from my sister, brand new never fired for $250. Her loss. Haha. Be a nice pocket pistol in the summer time.

This past weekend I was going through some ammo of mine, found 10 boxes of Remington Golder Saber 9mm 124gr. +P. Each box had a $7.99 sticker still on them!MacLaren wrote: ↑Wed Dec 08, 2021 1:26 pmDude, I know, right?bearfacedkiller wrote: ↑Wed Dec 08, 2021 12:59 pmThat’s not bad. And, the great thing about Remmy is they used to put 25 in the box instead of 20!benben wrote: ↑Thu Dec 09, 2021 12:32 pmThis past weekend I was going through some ammo of mine, found 10 boxes of Remington Golder Saber 9mm 124gr. +P. Check out Precision One ammo for quality 380 SD ammo, if you haven’t already. Their XTP performs well in the tests I’ve seen.

Re: The Last Gun You Bought
Does anyone have experience with Armanov grips?
I ordered a set today based on a review by Honest Outlaw. He really loves them.
I ordered a Medium in Black set of scales
Getting them for my Bul 1911. Absolutely nothing wrong with the scales that came with it. They're like VZ Operator scales. Anyways, I thought I would give the Armanov grips a try.

True Shot is giving away a Spyderco Tenacious with some ammo purchases. Prices seem reasonable for today, however I have never dealt with them and cannot offer an opinion either way.

Saw an ad for it. Neat looking little gun, but capacity seems a bit low compared to some of the other micro-compact 9mm's being offered these days due to being a single stack design. However I'm sure the slimmer profile and lighter weight will trump that for some.
