I recall Sal saying somewhere (possibly hidden away in this thread) that Eric was working on an upgraded version of the Dodo. Whether that makes it a Dodo 2 or Dodo 1.5, I'm not sure. But it seems that it isn't going to be just a sprint of the old knife in orange, but a new and improved version.

Based on this, plus past conversations of Eric revamping the model, it's not going to be a sprint of the old knife. Plus making a prototype of an existing model seems redundant.

I see it being a CBBL like the manix 2's instead of the old style bigger ball bearing lock
I hope you're wrong. I HATE the caged ball lock, the original big ball was much easier to actuate

I agree... plus, aesthetically, having plastic associated with the locking mechanism seems chincy somehow (I know this is irrational for the most part).

I have a little bit of trouble operating the non caged ball lock for some reason. But the caged ball lock is smooth and easy.

But I'd be happy with either lock type.

I second that. I didn't get the new matriarch because it just didn't appeal to me in a FFG Form :(

Normally I love FFG but on some knives it does NOTHING for me :o

+1

I certainly prefer original hollow grind on Persians and Dodo.
"People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf"

My top choices Natives5, Calys, C83 Persian

If they can keep the price down that would be awesome... im very interested in the dodo but if its as pricey as many of the sprints seem to be, id have a hard time affording one :(
