I like this thread a lot - hiking + backpacking was the first context where I used a knife regularly as a child. I'm not much of a hiker these days (usually rather be on a bike), but here are a few from the last few years.

Hiking with the Millie 2 in the Marin Headlands

Trail running with the Dragonfly 2 (and the pup) in the East Bay hills

Hiking with the PM2 at Fallen Leaf Lake near Lake Tahoe

Snow-shoeing at Lake Winnemucca near Lake Tahoe

Hiking with the Stretch 2 along the East Bay shoreline

Great pictures! Beautiful country out there! I especially like the one with your dog running up! Back in 2014 we were in Marin County (?) car camping and took some day trips to Point Reyes. We stayed at Samuel Johnson(?) State Park among the Redwoods. Nice!

Hunting and hiking Colorado’s Continental Divide Trail at Route National Forest. 2 weeks bow hunting some of roughest terrain in Colorado. Hiked almost 90 miles at 11,000 feet. I lost 15 lbs and ate tag soup…2 years in a row.

Wow! 90 miles at 11,000 feet! Awesome! I’ll bet that’s some real rough country out there!
