Outstanding !! I really like it a lot ! Buddy Dan
MNOSD 0002 / Do more than is required of you . Patton
Nothing makes earth so spacious as to have friends at a distance; they make the latitudes and longitudes.
Henry David Thoreau
Thanks guys ! The best part is it is only 78 grams in this configuration, I'm sure a full g10 handle would make it even lighter .
I need to see how to make this but I'd like a tuxedo version, with fake bolsters. Black G10 on the front, White G10 on the back
I like this idea ! Would the G10 be polished ? Dan

Of course, Hungarian / One Eyed Jack / Sun&Moon Chaparral style .
And even if they are faux bolsters, I can still joint them with a dovetail to make them stronger and more beautiful.
Now that I got that idea in my head, I might do this before the warthog/ti combo...
Would you consider making a version of the famous French Caraca Ring Pull folding knives?
Is it the WWI french solider folding knife ? It's a bit like a Navaja except it isn't ?
If so maybe, later down the line I wanted to reinterpret a full french folding knife design (one I'd have the right to make). This could be fun.
I just ordered a brand new heat treating oven to have fun with other lock system, and depart from titanium a bit to make things cheaper and easier to work with. Might be interesting to prototype something.
My grandpa called this "Couteau Palme" because of the spring with the ring that looks like a palm tree leaf.
Thinking more about it, it's hard to beat Mongin at this, they make splendid ones ! A way to do this could be to manage to actually "innovate" on this lock system !
In the collection : Lots of different steels, in lots of different (and same) Spydercos.

Unfortunately I've seen a talented french maker doing a very good interpretation of that model recently. Forgot his name (I'll try to come back and fix that) but the work was splendid. Though, once the right idea and design comes into fruition into my head, why not !
Here's my 4th folder. I called it the Guillemet. A "met" means dish and the client, my friend, is called Guillaume. And a "guillemet" is quote ( "...")
He wanted something taking a small inspiration from the Pingo and/or Paysan. That's my take on a knife made for polyvalence, while staying pretty nice and useful at the dinner table.
Titanium linerlock with 3.25" blade/edge length. 7.36" OAL length. 1/8" blade stock, full flat grind. The steel is DC53 and the blade finish is hand rubbed satin stonewash. I like hand rubbed satin but eating with it will bring scratches. That's my way of getting the best of both worlds .
It sports my first pocket clip, made from titanium too. The "build" is the same as the Precision. Titanium dovetail bolsters with ironwood scales.
I was so impatient to send it to my friend that I don't really have a great video, sorry in advance !
The blade finish is hard to photograph, but I'm sure I'll get more pictures soon . In normal light, you can't even see the stonewash.

Could you make a survival knife with plastic grip?
Plastic grip, that depends. Using a composite with rubber like suretouch or or the other type (forgot the name) can happen yeah. A real survival knife is something I'm not gonna make for a while though, I will focus on folders for a good time. I bought a heat treating oven designed for folding knife blades (or the smallest fixed blades ever lol). That limits me a lot ^^
I might make a few fixed blades here and there, going to knifemaker friends' homes
