I got mine unexpectedly a few days ago and I really like it. It doesn't devalue the OG Spyderco PITS, but is something quite unique. Good work!
I have two questions, maybe someone here can help me?
1. is it known who makes the knife?
I've had a few Spyderco knives from Maniago and although I really like some of them, the quality control has not been that good. I've had really bad luck and have returned several knives. The workmanship of the PITS 2, on the other hand, is flawless.
2. why does Spyderco call it Slipit and not Slipjoint?
As I understand it, Slipits are knives where the blade snaps over detent balls. As I understand it, the PITS 2 is actually designed like the PITS or other slipjoints, except that the springs are in the center of the handle.
