i think maybe you're holding it with the wrong body part.

Love it! I've got my thumb a couple times now when I sped up trying to finish quicker.

i'm sure it's not hard to get yourself when using something like this. there's a reason i have the tagline i do. i lost focus using a file to sharpen a machete once and almost ended my guitar playing days for good.
keep your knife sharp and your focus sharper.

i do wish the ds2 was cbn and med ceramic instead of fine. i rarely use the fine rods on my sm these days because i'm happy with the slightly toothy edge the med ceramic gives me.
I agree. It is too much of a stretch between grits it seems. Plus there is already a brown and white DS. Seems like brown would have been better and a great field option in my opinion. Maybe they were thinking it could satisfy two camps. Those that want a course edge in the field and those that would just like to touch up on ceramic. I don't know, but I would definitely replace my current mobile set up if it were CBN and Brown.

I think I will skip the DS2 and just get the 3x8 CBN Benchstone in 400/800 grit. I was wanting that for the house anyway and could always throw it in my pack instead when needed.

I do think the Webfoot is great to take along for trips. I find myself sharping family member's knives with some sharpening system or another when we vacation together. Seems much more convenient than packing up the sharpmaker.

Just took a look at this thing for the first time, and it is a really tempting field sharpening solution! It is on my radar as a possible buy sometime in the future.
