This is my preference as well. I love wharnies but I also find that just a slight bit of belly like the Delica has gives me similar performance, especially if the blade has a bit of negative angle to it. It also makes the blade just a bit more versatile with cutting board style cuts.

Sal, why doesn't RockJumper's blade have a jimping?
Is that part of the test, or is there any other reason?
