I'm surprised at the variation on these boxes. Today I received a Bodacious that says "USA MADE", while a Manix 2 from Knifeworks said "Made in United States" in lower camel case letters, while every other US Spydie I've had before has said "MADE IN USA".

And because of lawyers, none of those words and phrases mean what you think they do.

We also have to add a line in our letters with the knives that states that our knives may have nickle in the steel and that nickle can cause cancer. A California law that is mandatory by this summer.

That's amazing. Maybe that law could be followed up by a law requiring that anyone who passes a nickel to another person warn them about its nickel content.
Hi Blendergasket,

Welcome to our forum.

Not complying means we can receive a healthy fine.

A few year ago, some lawyers in Texas figured out that if someone had an expired patent on a box, they can sue you for a large sum and the government gets half of the take. We ended up getting ripped for many thousands of dollars and had to change all of the patent info on all of our boxes. And we weren't the only ones. Some really big companies got ripped for big bucks. Some lawyers re just crooks.
