How about the Stretch?

Enough Spyderco's have the finger choil, don't think we need to add it to the Endura/Delica. In fact it would it would ruin the knife for the MBC/SD crowd as the Delica is a real darling for them in a small effective package.

I would just leave them the way they are myself. :)

As for everyone wanting a G-10 model, they have been made, and judging by how they have been closed out cheaply by dealers when they were made... I would say they don't sell well. When you combine high end materials with the Japanese Yen... You get prices that are way out of line for what people think of when they think of the Endura and the Delica.

Solid G10 handles & the power lock. Or somehow license the tri-ad lock from Cold Steel and incorporate it into the slimmer frames. At the very least update the lockback mechanism to the Native 5 level of tight tolerances.
Either way, give them a lock that doesn't develop so much vertical play.

The power lock is a lock similar to the triad lock except it should have a smoother use.(not that the triad lock is bad but not up to spyderco's par IMHO)
i personally want to see the stop lock get used since it's whole design was to be cheap to produce but a good strong and simple lock.

I like the idea of an updated lock such as with the Native 5. Or one with an internal stop pin like the Chaparral and Sage 4.
I do not like idea (however improbable) of a Tri-Ad lock on a Spyderco. I've owned a number of models with the Tri-Ad lock and read even more reviews and it's very much a mixed bag. The lock can be difficult to operate because of occasional stickiness or an overly firm release. What you gain is strength. Great for marketing and yet not at all practical for me; I've never maxed out the strength of a conventional lockback.

I can't really find anything to add to the Endura 4, it is great just the way it is.

A great large knife that has superior ergonomics that work in a variety of grip positions.

(I'd like to see the Military 2 make it into production soon!)
My favorite Spyderco knives include: Caly 3.5, Chaparral, Delica 4 FFG, Stretch, Para-Military 2, Endura 4 FFG, Manix 2 & Manix 2 XL!

One minor possible improvement: the jimping on the black Delica offers nearly no grip at all, it is slippy compared to the non-coated version. The PM2 doesn't have this problem.

Totally agree with you on the pointier blade! I saw some pictures of older Delicas and Enduras, and I really prefer the look of the older blades. As for the wire clip, I like the regular spring clip. Not sure I'd like to change that.

I think the finger area closest to the blade needs attention. I have tried to like the Endura twice, but gave up both times. I am a Spyderco guy because the ergonomics and cutting are surpassed by none, and the Endura is just a classic. However, what's going on with that upper finger area? One or two fingers go there? With one you are too far back to safely close it one handed, with two you are too far up to easily open it fully. Maybe it's just my sausage fingers, but I would also prefer a more Caly 3.5-esque handle on an endura. That would be a wonderful knife.

I think aluminum scales might be cool, or put some design/color variations to the stainless models. But I think it is great as is.

More steels! I don't quite know what steels Seki is willing to use. I'm getting the impression that they only use Japanese steels, but they should definitely try something new.

Other than that, the only improvement I can think of is to make them free so I can have them all.

Take the Delica, make the blade a bit longer and thicker out of better steel, put it in a nice g10 handle with nested ss liners, maybe add that nice compression lock; you could call it something snazzy, like "Paramilitary 2 ". Bet that would sell!

Oh, yeah...

Ok, so sal already thought of that. All kidding aside, I'd like to see a sprint of the Delica with steel liners and g10 again. I missed the boat on that one.

I would like a choil more similar to the Paramilitary 2. Maybe a wire clip like on the dragonfly.
