I wish I had a picture of my first car but I found one that is almost exact. It was in 1973, I had a 1960 Austin Healy Bug-Eyed-Sprite. Another sad story of a stupid teenager (I'm sure a lot of you know what I'm talking about, I've raised 2 boneheads). Anyway, it took me and my dad 8 months to rebuild it and it only took me 3 weeks to smash it up. My dad parked in the driveway until I fixed it. Embarrassing, but then I think that was his point. Gads, I wish I had it now, I sold it to a guy for $300 bucks and he moved it up to Yosemite, lucky guy.

1976 Chevy Monte Carlo. It was bird dog beige with a buckskin vinyl top and interior. Had a 350 in it that I swapped a 4 bbl carb on and had dual exhaust ran on it. That thing sounded great, it had the old school black painted Flowmasters on it. Wish I still had it.

Here's a picture of my first car, a 1968 Camaro. After buying it in 1997, I built a new engine for it, swapped out the turbo 350 auto for a Muncie 4-speed manual, changed out the non-posi rear end for a posi-unit with more aggressive gearing, and picked up some American Racing 17" rims. As you can see from the picture, I also replaced a fender and traded out the louvered hood for a cowl induction one. It's been in storage in Idaho for the last 7 years, but once I get a place with a garage, I'll bring it down to California and get it painted, swap out the non-power drum brakes for 4-wheel discs, and do a few other minor tweaks.

My first car was a beast, A 1972 cj5 jeep. It rolled over the mileage 2x before I bought it. Loved it minus the fact I couldnt go above 60 or the fact it kept breaking down. At least it was easy to repair but in the end, I had to trade power for reliability. 2001 Toyota Camry replaced it one day. It was a real shame to see her go but a great relief on my wallet.
How the **** did I progress from the awesomeness of a 1972 cj5 jeep to now owning a mr beanesque convertible smart car? the world may never know
