Hey Deacon. I've been away for a couple weeks and now this thread has me very pleasantly surprised. Love those Spyderco Prototypes, especially the red, orange, and green ones. Thanks for the awesome pics. I'm sort of speechless right now! A dream come true! :D

Nice addition to the "Persian army" WhyNot. Stunning pictures.
I started to like Kris (only on the pictures, but may be this is first step?).

Hey guys, I have a question for you mini persianeers, I'm wanting to possibly pick up a mini persian for EDC - what do you guys think? Is this knife a good candidate for EDC or should I stick with my original (more mundane!) choice of a delica wave? I think some of the more robust spydies like the Sage and Caly 3 would be good too but the mini persian looks so sweet! if anybody could post a pic of the Mini Persian and one of the aforementioned knives that would be great!

JustAnEDC'er,

Dan is right. Mini Persian is an amazing knife. I carry C83 for more than two years and for a long time thought that I do not need mini, but when I bought my first mini Persian I was stunned by it's beauty, lightness, great ergos and cutting abilities. If you buy it, you will never regret, especially consider that even in now days you can get it for under $100 (or under $90 on the bay on BF).
BTW, you will need to get Caly3 as well, later
Sage too, later :D
Good luck,
Roman

Question about the blade markings on the C83's. I know the earlier ones were the bugless and the later ones had the bug and Ed's logo, but does anyone have any idea of the ratios of each production run? I have 2 bugless and one bugged myself.

We need the sprint run or runs (two is better than one, three is better than two..........) to give even more boost to this thread.
Also I still dreaming about Baby Persian: Persian with size of the Kopa. I would buy it even with pink FRN scales.

Thank you Billy !!! and thank you Steve :)

Great work and a nice working Persian you have now Billy. I've wanted a G10 version myself. Might have to look into a similar one for myself later :D

Thanks Daniel. If you can find or have a beater Persian, I highly recommend the G-10 conversion. It really changes the whole demeanor of the knife and gives it real "ready to go anywhere, do anything" feel to it. Plus, you know Steve will do it right for sure! :D

Awesome skills by your newborn Billy ! :p

More, more, more ! This new iteration of the C83 Persian is really great for morale amongst the Persian Army. We need to see more so others too are inspired to enlist :D

Hey Nightdog,

Don't be fooled by the relative diminutive size of the Mini Persian. You will be pleasantly surprised as to what this little thing is capable of :)

Billy,

That Tan G-10 Persian is awesome. Steve did a great job. I Personally like the knife better like that with one full slab of G-10 on each side. :)

Thanks for the pics.
