Daniel's Spyderco Hoard
O sorry.
I have never seen a native one in RSA only two and three and thought it was the two. What are the main differences between the native ones and twos by the way? :p
Thank you for the upcoming photos! :D

Hi Zenith,
If you go back to Page 1 of this thread you can see the obvious visual differences.
Native I - flatter FRN handles, came in PE and SE as well as plain and black baldes. Black PE version rare. Clips were black and flat. Bladesteel CPMS30V
Native II - like the Native I, except with Stainless Steel handles. Came in PE and SE. PE version rare. Clips flat like Native I's. Bladesteel is AUS10 and VG10.
Native III - More contoured handles...fatter and more chamfered. Sometimes called Native 3D for that reason. Comes in PE & SE. Clips are the newer wire clips. Bladesteel in VG10 (made in Seki City Japan)
Special Natives include the Tan coloured ones (OEF & OIF), Blue G10 version, Blue FRN version, Black G10 with Root Beer inlay, Black G10 with Blue Mosaic inlay, Spyder web etched version, and a couple of others.

All Black Natives
Black Beauties:
C41 - Native I - black bladed versions in PE and CE
You will note from this picture as well as the group photo of my Natives on Page 1 that All the C41 (Native I & II) PE blades do not have the Spyder Bug logo on the blade. Curiously only the CE blades have the bug logo on them ???
The Native III has bugs on the PE & CE blades. The bugless ones seem almost naked without one.
Cheers
Dan

No apologies required on this forum mate :)
Native II is essentially a Native I with stainless stell outergarments
Black CE Native I is a great blade. Teeth are very aggresive.
(Pssst. Wish Sal would release a black bladed Native III :D :D :D )

Native OIF
Another Native....this time the Tan coloured FRN OIF version with CE blade config. I was surprisingly enamoured by this knife. The tan coloured FRN handle was especially captivating, very crisp colour.

Shabaria PE
Managed to discover and acquire this very unique piece from Spyderco's golden years. Eduard Bradichinsky's awesomely weird design, and Spyderco's proclaimed first 'ethnic' knife. Very unusual and not to everyone's taste. It is surprisingly comfortable in the hand in most grip styles.
Here is Ikea's Sir Sven posing with his sword :)
I told Sven not to run with scissors...... but he forgot it applies to swords as well :p
And while Sven was resting:

I guess I am one of those who do like Shabaria. A lot. It makes even wooden Sir look very impressive :D
Nice catch!

Thanks for the comments guys.... I really appreciate them all. Keeps me motivated to shoot even more photos (running out of ones to shoot). Might go reshoot the older ones in newer context. And probably more fun ones with Sir Sven
Cheers and stay tuned for more shenanigans :)

Lum Chinese Folder - green PE
Lum Chinese Folder - green almite PE
Did I mention I like the flowing lines of certain Spyderco's ? This Lum Chinese Folder definitely falls in that category ofsmooth flowing lines. Closed or open it just seems to ooze a nice gentle and calm feeling. Once again this design is not seen by many as being contemporary enough for EDC.
I like it a lot, and for photography, it makes a very good subject :)

Thanks Frank..... but I bow to your collection. In comparison mine are opportunistic hoards of relatively available pieces. Your niceties are much more drool-worthy.
