Modified Lil' Native on deck.... or at least on this old log. The snow melting at this favorite spot has been welcome.

Went out for a hike this afternoon, did 5.8 miles. Found that my favorite spring wildflowers (Bloodroot) are blooming.

Yes! No issues. I kept the lock bars with their respective blades and the bronze washers with the Endura handle.

I really only did the swap to see if it would work, and I'll probably swap it back at some point.

Best wishes on a speedy recovery, that picture certainly brings back some memories.

I called it my forced vacation.

This is probably way more suited for October but I took this pic the other day and I don't think I can keep it to myself for another 6 months.

Could you make a post about this knife telling us about your experience using it? I have been thinking on this model for years.

I've got the Chaparral XL hand made prototype in my rotation and I'm likin' it. Peel ply CF, skeletonized full liners, 3.4" blade. Just to let you Chappy XL pushers ;) know that I do listen.

sal

Dear Sal, excited for the Chappy XL and honoring the fact that you listen indeed I decided to carry the current, small but already great FRN Chap today again.

Here it is with a Spyder-web - background :smiling-cheeks

I am carrying both of mine SE and PE against all odds I do believe these have become my favorites.

Wartstein would you mind starting a new Chapparrel thread? Seems to me Sals, Ahem casual bombshell concerning The XL should have some tracking now maybe bring in relevant content from you other threads links if nothing else and maybe people will post there Chappies in use there or just great pictures so Spyderco will know how many of us support this model and it's move to XL.

It's been a long time favorite of mine. Both the Autonomy 1 and 2 are excellent.
