Laziness has pretty much taken over. I rarely do polished bevels anymore. The bevel on my Para 2 looks horrible..it has 3 different visible bevel angles from playing with different angles, none of them are more than 1000 grit. I spent a fortune on my Shapton glass stones, and rarely use them now.

I know what you mean. thew only reason most of my knives still have mirrors is cause i microbevel.

That's a good take of your polished edge Spence. I remember some time ago when you couldn't take proper pics of your edges. Anyway, congratulations on the edge and the pic. :D

Just finished up.....Spyderco Paramilitary 2 Sprint, Carbon Fibre - S90V blade.
16 degree mirror relief with 18 degree micro bevel at 1k Shapton GS.
Now it is worthy for some pocket time....
