Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
Still need to get off my rear and re-dye the 15V's micarta scales and reprofile it, and my G10 Police scales are currently in queens NY.
Like it's always been it's a bit of a toss-up. Could go either way.
Police being a lockback means I prefer it for IWB carry. However, no version of the Police from the 80's to 2025 is as corrosion resistant as a DLC S30V Military 2, since the only coated police is PD1 and has uncoated liners. I also like the steeper negative blade angle of the Military. But the longer, thinner blade of the Police suits me better. But the Military has no pocket clip issues like FRN Police folders do. But the Police carries better. But Military folders have smoother action......so on and so forth.....

So, basically a coin flip, but I'd give a slight edge to the Police overall.
I'd be content carrying either one for the rest of my life, just like I've been doing for the past 18 years or so.
May you find peace in this life and the next.

Great pic with the eye peering through the 14mm hole. Those hybrids or stripers? Good looking mess of fish for Friday. I like fish on Friday lol. I just like fish period really.

Yes they do Dan! 6 years of continuously rotating in use with my greasy Italian skinManixguy@1994 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 21, 2025 10:15 amThose scales Rick have a personality of their own. Dan

Funny, I like how the micarta scales look on two warn in Spyderco's (this and my Shaman) But on my CRK's with inlays, I don't like how they look having been worn in a bit. Strange!

I couldn't decide between the 15v Shaman and the Magnacut N5. So I went with both.

And I have a feeling that there'll never come a "decisive victory" for one of the two, right?
Not the worst thing in the world though anyway to have a pair of favorites....

Thanks, glad you like it!

And I actually normally don´t feel that my pics are suited and good enough for the "weekly contest" - but I´ll think about it this time..
/ Hope you get to visit "your" woods soon with a good Spydie in pocket!
