Chris' handles are great!

I had a bit of a hard time sending my Bushcraft back (handle was cracking up badly)

I believe it's the same Taipei Mfg. as always......both Taichung and Taipei Spydies used to both just be "Taiwan", but Taichung wanted to differentiate itself. Looks like Taipei wants their city on the blade, as well.

I've asked before, how would BD-1 hold up to general use and sharpening? I realize that the Reverse and Ronin are primarily defensive-natured, but so are my P'Kal and Yojimbo 2, and I use those to cut up all sorts of stuff and not just flesh.

BD-1 any good?

BD-1 is a powdered version of Gin1, more or less. Is your google broken? :D  ;)

Mighty Ronin 2!

Post by LC Kid »

Hi Folks!

The Ronin 2 looks like a very serious SD blade. :spyder:

Serious enough to totally overwhelm anything before it: Ronin, Yojimbo and Yojimbo 2.

I've been waiting for this version of the Bushcraft for a long time... The Bushcraft is hands down, without a doubt, the most comfortable knife I've ever handled, and I'm happy to see it with Carbon Fiber and S90V. This just went right to the top of my want list (above the Sprig)!
Agree CaptnVeggie...

I always liked the Bushcraft's size and shape and handle, but the scandi grind put me off. It's not often that I go out in the wilderness to survive and build shelters. This FFG is much more versatile.

That Endeavor looked and felt amazing. I'm just waiting for the riots and hunger strikes when the MSRP gets released...

Hi Folks!

The Endeavour is very nice made utility blade stylish enough to look like a true work of art. :spyder:

Easily the best ever version of an already fantastic blade such as the Bushcraft. :)

I'm totally in for the Endeavour. Where do I sign? :D

Wow man, I was totally in for a sprig until I saw the endeavour. That's a beautiful knife and looks functional and comfortable as all ****. If they produce it with a good steel befitting it's shape, size, and obvious function, I'm all in.

I seriously hope tptb read this and make this knife with something like cpm 4V.

After about 30 seconds of thought, I'll be in for one of the endeavors with just about any steel.

Spyderco is certainly knocking them out of the park this year. So many nice high end knives.

For you guys who handled them, which (would you think) would make the better paring knife? If either of them?

I'm really floored by the endeavor. I've already gone back to look at it at least three time. I just hope it's going to come with a sturdy sheath. I've broken several kydex g clip type sheaths and it's always a pain in the *** getting these kinds of clips to fit my belts just right. Either too loose or too tight.

I wish more sheaths came with police duty gear type clips with a small bar inside that is adjustable for different belt widths.
