The hole lurking in big tech’s trillion-dollar AI blitz

Fears grow that groundbreaking graphics processor technology will lose value faster than expected.

Nvidia Blackwell Ultra just announced, and.....

According to Nvidia's CEO, this new graphics processor would be so powerful and so popular with customers that Nvidia couldn’t even give away its older, less effective chips. Life expectancy of AI chips is around 2 to 3 years!

Smooth talking AI is just that. Whatever you do with AI, take everything it says with a grain of salt.

I'll watch the videos! Thanks!!!

Hilarious thing happened the other day. Google's CEO came out and said that if an AI bubble forms and pops, there will be no industry untouched and that all markets will fall. Google said that as a warning not to over invest in AI. Within 24 hours of that statement, Google announced another $30 to $40 billion in new data centers. Hahahahahahaha.... so they do not want everyone else investing in AI, but of course they plan to.

Elon Musk is pushing the techno optimist view that some have. That Self Replicating, Self Programming, Self Repairing, Self Powering Machine Servants will eventually make it so humans can all live as rich happy hobby workers, kept immortal and healthy, with Heaven on Earth created by machines.

The pessimists say abuse of the machines will bring **** on Earth.

Musk is living in a bubble, out of touch and wrong about most things. The $400 billion he has plus X give him a platform to be heard.

Musk has said several times that people will not have to work because they have a personal robot to do their bidding. Who is going to pay for food, utilities, property taxes, and to make the robot he charges $100,000+ for? I don't want a robot in my home spying on me, forget it. I don't even like a cell phone. I can get up and go get a glass of OJ on my own and if I cannot, what is the point of living.

The US industrial military complex is not studying robots to put long stem roses into the barrel of rifles.

Robots and AI are going to bring a lot of pain.

Naperville, do you think the people are correct who claim there is a segment of those in power around the world in each society who would love to use AI Robots to replace we everyday folks after mass wiping us out?

They are called the WEF, World Economic Forum. Hundreds of elected officials around the globe are in the WEF.

Look for articles on them. They want to reduce the human population as soon as possible by billions. But of course, they want to "reduce" YOU and your family, not them and their billionaire friends families.

That is where the saying, "You will own nothing and be happy!" comes from. It was on their website!!!

The WEF is not harmless due to the number of leaders involved.

I am just posting the stories that I find. I am not all doom and gloom on robotics and AI. Humans have to be careful. These are powerful systems and we are responsible for our future.

In THX113, there was an AI Jesus. I would never trust an AI Jesus. This is what I mean by being careful. Not now but eventually AI will be able to create and think deeper, faster and wiser than most humans about every subject. Humans must always have a kill switch no matter how much we trust AI because it has nothing of value to risk. AI will be used for nefarious purposes to control the masses. And AI will be used to create in ways humans did not previously think possible.

I read some of the reviews for the book. They sound like hatchet-men. Bad dudes. People like that control our future!

Unethical and immoral people are everywhere in every organization. I do not have faith in most people, organizations or businesses. There are some ethical, moral and wholesome people and I try to surround myself with them.

MIT says that at this very moment 12% of the workforce is unnecessary due to AI. That would mean that 15 to 30 million currently employed could be terminated. 2026 is going to be an interesting year!
