Re: Spyderco Knock-offs, "Replicas"and Fakes
Well if Spyderco did not have sucessful following. No one would be selling COUNTERFITS.
Maybe I am wrong, but until laws change to pose sever penalties for making, or selling counterfeit items.
My State selling or building counterfeits is low level crime. Confinsksyion of good, small fine.

Can anyone tell me if this tenacious is real or fake? When I ordered it, being a fake never cross my mind, until it came in the mail today and the box was kind of banged up and had some Scotch tape on it and I was like....huh
I'm new. I hope this is the appropriate place to post this question. Thank you for your help.

Apologies if this has been asked already. Did they clone Byrd Raven 2?
And justice for all...

Use to go to local GUN SHOW there was alway gentleman who sold FAKE Spyderco, with BUG LOGO. People bought em unsuspecting. Some of his offering were nothing close to anything Spyderco sold ever.
Told show promotor of the counterfeit, and cakes. His reply was I sell table space, buyer beware.

Re: Spyderco Knock-offs, "Replicas"and Fakes
Ebay seller "christian255" is selling "orange s90v screw together" clones for $135.
Funny story. I unknowingly bought 1 because I didn't know better. I called him out a couple hours later on it. He refunded my money but still shipped it. He never asked me to return it.
*Noticeable standouts"
1)S90v LW never came as a "screw together"
2)Blade is stone washed
3)"FRN" is very flimsy
4)Jimping is not as sharp as it should be
5) Engraving is off
This item shows 41 sold. 2 people have left negative feedback about them being clones but ebay does nothing about the reports ive sent. Sadly, I overlooked the feedback before I purchased as it was not as the top. Hopefully this helps people, but probably not since a person new to Spyderco(like myself) doesn't know better.

I believe I was taken by a fake Shaman recently. Have any of the Shamans ever run on caged bearings? I now have the understanding that they only have PB washers. Thanks.

Hello guys, is this new design of the US-made boxex or scam:

Suspicious moments is “made in the United States”
I own bunch of US made items and all of them are “made in USA”.

@AndrewNavr I have verified current labels do read "Made in United States." We're reviewing the change with our people here, but your label looks authentic.

While looking for the new SPY27 Military 2 I noticed a fake spyderco website "spy-derco.com". Not sure if this is the place for such information, but I don't have a better idea where to put it

Hi, horzuff:
This is absolutely the right place to post this. Could you please tell me what your search was - the specific words you searched for that gave you that site as a result?
Thank you!

I was looking for the new Military 2 SPY27 in stores and if I recall correctly I searched "Spyderco C36GCBL2" or just "C36GCBL2" on DuckDuckGo. I tried it now and the page popped up again when searching "spyderco Military 2 spy27", still on DuckDuckGo, Google luckily doesn't offer the fake page (or I didn't manage to prompt it)

Re: Spyderco Knock-offs, "Replicas"and Fakes
Hoping you knowledgeable folks can help me out. I’m concerned I may be in possession of a counterfeit Karahawk. I’ve wanted one for a long while but was dead set on the satin version so ended up purchasing on eBay. The seller has good reviews and the price was high but I was excited to get my hands on it. Now that I have it I’m finding things that make me second guess.
For starters the manual/booklet in the box speaks exclusively about the karahawk as one might expect. Right up until the last paragraph. There it thanks me for purchasing a Domino.
I keep hearing about the skeletonized liners but can’t find pictures. I’ve done my best to capture them without any disassembling, but as far as I can tell I’ve only got two holes on each liner and if I understand there should be 3?
The blade hole is rough. I’m a machinist and wouldn’t expect that to be left this way but I could be wrong. I’m not sure how they are cut and maybe that’s the norm. It’s my first spyderco so don’t have reference. The edges of the hole and the edges of the blade around the Emerson wave are sharp. Not cut yourself sharp, and not burrs. There is slight visible edge break but not enough that I would call it much more than visual.
There are other pieces that are good signs. The blade is nearly perfectly centered. The lock feels solid with no wiggle. The action seems smooth. I’m getting 3.8oz but 106/107grams which could be my scale and may be acceptable(1-2grams from specs). Really I’m hoping my impulsive decision hasn’t bit me, but if so would rather know and try to get some sort of refund if I can manage it. Thanks in advance for any help!

Re: Spyderco Knock-offs, "Replicas"and Fakes
Anyone know if it’s normal to have the Seki City Japan engraving so close to the pivot?
This is a used VG-10 model procured from a certain online auction site. All of my other Delica examples are sprints or wharnies with the engraving much closer to the plunge grind.

Nothing else seems suspicious but the engraving location doesn’t seem right.

Re: Spyderco Knock-offs, "Replicas"and Fakes
Can anyone on the forum confirm that there was a production run dated as such?
Spyderco Para Military 2 Salt C81GMCBKP2
UPC 716104018468
Production IX
Batch 1487
USA MADE
I haven't seen any such date anywhere on the web with a run date of Sept '24
I have a suspicion that this may be a counterfeit.
I would be very grateful to receive your reply.
Best regards,
