Its indeed very beautiful. Wish they would use the color again. This one is my favorite user along with its little brother my user mini Manix. Both of those have seen every kind off use i ever did in my life and they do it with such ease everytime.
Maybe you can give you're C95 some action some other day this week.

If I could go back in time to when Spyderco was spamming foliage green sprints I would have snagged so many more of them. It's probably my favorite color they've ever offered on stock knives. I had a UKPK and a Kuhkuri briefly but sold them, and was consider the Endura but cbose the ZDP LW instead.
They didn't run the mini manix in it did they? I believe they only offered those in standard black with PE and CE options.
I'd love to see a foliage green sprint of some sort. Might be time to start a thread on it!

You are correct, they never ran the Manix 83mm in foliage green. The Manix 83mm was only offered with Black G10 and S30V, both plain edge and plain serrated.vivi wrote: ↑Wed Nov 01, 2023 11:43 amIf I could go back in time to when Spyderco was spamming foliage green sprints I would have snagged so many more of them. Love the g10 color. But i have mixed feelings over the coating color.
How is the quality of the coating by the way? Because if i remember correctly its something als then the normal dlc?
Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
I’ve found the coating to hold up very well. It has good wear resistance from what I can tell and it cleans up easily. It doesn’t 100% prevent corrosion but it definitely helps, especially if it’s maintained with some sort of corrosion inhibitor. It holds onto oils well, which can help to further improve corrosion resistance. I have much more experience with this coating on the Lil Native than my other REC Exclusives but it’s still the same coating.apollo wrote: ↑Wed Nov 01, 2023 1:04 pmLove the g10 color. You’re correct that it is not a DLC coating. Spyderco markets it as a “PVD coating,” which is correct but that is actually just an acronym for the process used to apply the coating itself. DLC can also be applied via the PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) process. As far as I know, the coating used on these REC Exclusives is a TiN (Titanium Nitride) coating.
