Oh man.....I thought I might just switch out my satin s90v milllie clip for the 52100 but they are a bit different....would prolly work though i think.
I too would have rather seen a satin clip on the 52100.

I really like this new satin black clip finish. I think it contrasts really well with the grayish tone of the CF.

That's a good point, they did a great job on the finish on the clip.

I had planned to sit this one out with all of the other releases on the way but all the pics convinced me one should be ordered and I happened to check CS during the short window they had them up. I love 52100 in custom kitchen knives, it will be interesting to try it in the Millie platform.

So one dealer could get multiple shipments?
That makes sense.
Yes, I think that's the case.
Cujobob wrote:I ordered one at Optics Planet because of the 10% off. If they don't fulfill order I won't cry too hard... Hopefully, as I'm on the fence given the blade length of the Millie platform.
I'd bet they will eventually ship. Around 3 years ago, I bought a Cruwear sprint from Dvor, apparently part of Optics Planet, at a sale price and it took them two and a half months to ship, but it finally arrived. I was surprised that they were apparently a B&M location. At least they answered the phone and kept assuring me that I would get it. They told me I was #7 of 20, and even made sure I got credit for my $10 coupon.

I like the new black clip finish better on this knife too.

Anyone else getting the impression that it's a fairly high Rockwell? I touched mine up on the Sharpmaker and it just feels like it's up there.

I just got a ship notice from KC, which I was hoping would take a couple of weeks to come through allowing my budget to recover.

Not a bad problem to have ;)

Not a bad problem at all, conga-rats, also interested in when you placed your pre-order. :)

Definitely got the same impression. It took a lot more to touch up than I expected.

Ok, same here. I figured it would be a couple passes like most of the carbon steels I've used. Not the case with 52100. That's fine by me, just something I noticed!

Results may vary, but for me Cruwear touched up easier than 52100.
