Amsterdam Meet 2011 Report

That makes absolutely NO sense. A tighten up pivot could never make an illegal knife legal since you're able to untighten it anytime and a gravity knife is a whole different type of knife. Google "gravity knife" and you see what I mean.
It's OK ... I do know exactly what a gravity knife should be :D ... but (sadly) our Customs are pretending that they don't understand and so they seize any smoothly-opening, locking Spyderco knife, saying that it can be opened with a flick of the wrist.black wrote:That makes absolutely NO sense. I definitely have to have the Memory. It's a very attractive knife.

If I heard correctly, it's a collab by Dialex and Spyderco. The name intrigues me since it's supposed to be a design for the MBC crowd which Spyderco toned down to a more utility oriented model.SmoothOne25 wrote:

Darn, the link to Alex's design pages no longer works. I guess he has to keep any designs under consideration out of sight.chuck_roxas45 wrote:If I heard correctly, it's a collab by Dialex and Spyderco. Our reason is quite satisfied, in 999 cases out of every 1000 of us, if we can find a few arguments that will do to recite in case our credulity is criticized by someone else. Our faith is faith in someone else's faith, and in the greatest matters this is most the case.

I wish that the Centofante had a tip-up carry option and a second CF inlay on the opposite side. It looks funky to me with a flat side and a CF scale side.
Not sure, but I can't imagine that a cut-out in the liner and opposite scale would compromise the lock strength too much. Has Spyderco tested such an option in the past?

Thank you for your interest guys. Indeed the Battlestation was supposed to be merely MBC oriented, since it has a few specific features (modified wavehook, tanto blade with reinforced tip, a very strong lock and a few more things which we won't talk about now).bh49 wrote:it is working. Spyderco gave the knife a more utilitarian look but I suspect there will be many more transformations if we decide to go further with the project.
The site is under reconstruction, but even when it's finished, there won't be any pics of the Battlestation too soon there, sorry.
Thanks everyone for the comments and support.

Thank you my friend.clovisc wrote:dialex has so many fantastic designs!
not sure how i feel about what i've seen of the Junior... although i've long been a fan of the Adventura, and hope to see more dialex concepts hit the market via spyderco!
No rush with the Junior, better wait for the knife to hit the market and you can make a decision after you hear some reviews (hopefully there will be some positive ones among them).

i happen to love the adventura design fancy futuristic. when i first got into spy collecting i thought "uhh no! that's not something i'm going to search out to buy and catch up" then as time passed and i looked and looked and kept seeing it and thought about it i had to say screw it and go after it with a passion!
historically it is also an important design if you think about it. (spyderco wise, his first design for them) :spyder:

I love my Adventura. I used to have two of them, but gifted one to a friend.
Alex has one in CF. It looks fantastic. I wish Spyderco would make sprint with black G10, at least one side to make grip better.
