been showing her stuff on evolution, physics, atoms, antikythera mechanism, ancient civilizations, ancient megalith sites etc. instead of **** like Bluey and funny cat videos. they test her patience at times but she's slowly getting more and more interested in these things....

One of the most interesting gentleman of our lifetime wasn't just a Nobel-winning theoretical particle physicist, but he was a great communicator. I enjoy watching videos of him speaking of subjects at a level that regular folks can understand.

Absolutely. When you get into things like the beginning of the universe, the origin of life, the oldest known traces of civilization, atoms, quantum physics, evolution, gravity....man reality is WILD.

I'll take a look at that video. I haven't heard of that gentleman before.
May you find peace in this life and the next.

Listened to Creedence Clearwater Revival on Qobuz yesterday. Most of the tracks were 24 bit 192 kHz and they were excellent.

I think the first time I heard that song, it was on the Dr. Demento show.

I'm not even sure where I first heard it, myself. I only remember it was sometime back in grade school. 🙂

"Back To Black" album by Amy Winehouse on Qobuz, 24 bit, 96 kHz.
"Frank," album by Amy Winehouse on Qobuz, 24 bit, 44.1 kHz.

I'll relisten to my Qobuz favorited music again over the next week after I take delivery of my new headphones, Focal Stellia.

I was seriously all over the place today.

Yngwie Malmsteen, Suicidal Tendencies, CKY, Limp Bizkit, Liquid Tension Experiment, Cryptopsy, Crystal Age, Nujabes, Cowboy Bebop OST, Flock of Seagulls, this drum and bass mix from Fonkah, this jungle mix by DJ Sensi, Symphony X, Le Trio Joubran, Huun Huur Tu, Andreya Triana, Dead Kennedys, Macabre, Slayer, Megadeth, Patra, Toots and the Maytals, Barrington Levy, Steel Pulse and certainly a few I'm forgetting.
May you find peace in this life and the next.

Suicidal Tendencies,
Megadeth
I'm sorry, sir. But if you continue to use language like that, we'll have to send you to sensitivity training. Seriously. There's been a concerted effort among the snowflakes to drain all the joy and creativity from our lives. There's a mountain bike trail outside Las Vegas named Suicidal Tendencies. It's a high quality double black that is a must-do for folks who ride at that level. The woke mapmakers have chosen to rename it to something that won't be so "triggering." Off the top of my head, other trail names that they're trying to change are Suicidal Tendencies, Fook Yu, T&A, Mentally Sensitive, Ike's Peek, and others I can't remember at this late hour. Don't worry. OG riders don't care what anyone thinks of our trail names.

Yesterday I played Megadeath on a long drive--probably the most Megadeath I've ever listened to nonstop. My conclusion is that Dave really is a talented guy. Despite that, I have no desire to be in the same room as him. I wonder what Metallica would have become if they hadn't given him the boot. Regardless, I think Kirk Hammett helped bring the band to the level it is today.

Mention of these old-school bands left me waxing nostalgic, so I put on a band from back in my day... back when the likes of Van Halen, Motley Crue, L.A. Guns, Axl, Quiet Riot, and Black Flag were playing the local clubs. The band was Tonio K. They were very fringe, with a surf-guitar sound and dadaist lyrics that appealed to cerebral cynics. I think their first album, Life in the Foodchain, was its best. Alas, they didn't have the mass-appeal to bring them to the next level.
