I am thrilled to be able to say I don't have to do that type of traveling anymore. Heck it violates rule #9 first off, secondly I don't like going anywhere with out more than just a couple pocket Knives on me and most often my 1911...
That said, I did get a notice this week, I have to show up for jury's duty lol. Guess I will get to cave in on some of the hardware lol.
Has anyone had a UKPK confiscated by police in the UK?

I think the knife arches work by detecting ferrous metals, even in tiny amounts. But I don't want to think about carrying things that might bypass a detector, I just want to be able to be clear with any police contact that I carry a knife, it's legal, and to be able to be on my way. No fuss, no trouble.zhyla wrote: ↑Wed Sep 03, 2025 4:10 pmWhen I travel in restrictive countries I always do the same thing: carry the cheapest knife I can. Police can confiscate all the $10 Walmart knives they want and — topic for another thread — they get the job done just fine.
For an every day thing though you might find a linerless Spydie with a tiny blade is below the metal detector threshold.
I have a Leatherman Squirt which is pretty safe police wise. 1" blade. But I feel a bit nakkie without my UKPK
