Does anyone know how many were there in stock? Didn't look like many people were too crazy about it and it sold out in just few hours.. I kind of want one. Out of stock for sprint run means there won't be any on Spyderco.com right?

Welcome to our forum shishlo. The early inventory is typically our premiers and collectors. There will likely be more inventory added to the site (although this can vary from model to model). I wouldn't anticipate that it will last long as a Sprint. You can also reach out to SFO (Spyderco Factory Outlet) and ask that they add you to a Bug list. They'll reach out to you if/'when more become available.

I’m guessing that there is a lot of other material/tooling in the knife to make for difference in price between G10 and CF. Also, from what I understand the backspacer is black G10 on the CF variant as well, saving a little money there.

But I do agree, I was shocked to see such a similar price at first!

There are two differences in this sprint compared to the original: CF scales vs original orange G10 and 20CV steel vs S30V, everything else is identical. Not sure why folks still think they add unannounced CQI updates to models when they release sprints or exclusives, they’re specifically meant to only vary in blade steel and/or scale material/color. As for this Subvert sprint backspacer, it’s just a different color of G10. The only things I see changing the price at all are the first two things I mentioned, which I doubt would be very significant (maybe the CF over G10), plus a potential inflationary increase. That said, I’m super excited for this one!

I'm in. Big fan of the original. Looked very similar to the Mamba so it was an easy decision. Being a sprint run, why not. Still looking for a Bombshell. Never ending.
