I also chose the Sebenza. We don't see much about them here on the forum, especially with prolonged use. You do such great reviews, I'd be very interested in your analysis after a month of carrying it and see if you feel it justifies that steep price! Make it happen Connor!!
If they ever make one with a thumb hole I'm gonna buy one and beat the ever loving **** out of it. I just can't go back to thumb studs, especially for that price but if they ever come around and put a hole in there I'm all over it.
I agree 100%. I saw a pic of a sebenza with a spydie hole mod the other day. Looked great! It made me wonder why there's never been a collab...didn't Sal say that Chris Reeve was their first distributor in South Africa? So iirc, there's already a history and a relationship there.
I don't get the Sebenza thing. I handled one in a shop and there was no magic for me.
And this ignores the whole fact that it has a stud and not a hole.
A knife with a stud and not a hole -- is just messed up, I don't know how I can say it any better.

So I voted for the Police.
I think CRKs are really beautiful, especially with the inlays and anodized graphics. But I doubt I'll ever own one because in general I don't love framelocks, and I hate thumb studs. For $200 I might take a chance to see if these would be exceptions. For $500...nope.

I didn't vote>> because the ones I would recommend aren't listed. I've been EDCing a C-36 Military with M390 blade steel for over 3 years now and I don't see how you could do better.
Now if the blade length of the Military model is too long for your jurisdiction then I would go with a Para2 with one of the supersteel blades. There is just no way you could go wrong with either one IMO.
Now if there is one or two of them on that list that you dearly love then go for that one. But the Golden, CO made Spyders are just hard to beat for EDC uses.
