Re: Reputable Online Retailer Sugestions and Experiences Good or Bad
I buy almost all my new Spydercos from Whitemountainknives, occasionally BHQ, and Knifecenter. Bento Box delivered flawlessly a while back too.
eCop on ebay has provided good service to me as well.

Anyone know of an online dealer that you can call and have them check a few samples for centering etc?
Re: Reputable Online Retailer Sugestions and Experiences Good or Bad
I’ve called and had Knifeworks check for me before. As well as SoonerState, CutleryShoppe, and NewGraham. Asked SMKW and they said not possible but I could return if I wasn’t happy.

OP; no issues here (knives & service) from the few times I've gone with Bento Box Shop :spyder:
Re: Reputable Online Retailer Sugestions and Experiences Good or Bad
I also know you can ask Knife Center to do that, but I think they ask you to put your request in the comments when you check out.

I've had good luck with DLT, National Knives, BladeHQ & KnifeWorks
I've had one good and one bad experience with Optics Planet, I won't have another.
I've bought from BBS twice, they are on the steep side, but they have Exclusives that are awesome, so there ya go...
I've also had good luck with CountryKnives, which while they charge retail, they have a unique & extensive inventory unlike anyone else if you are looking for a long disco'd or hard to find knife, and they are a brick in mortar shop too... plus they're super cool to deal with via email or phone, really nice folks.

I've had great experiences with Knifejoy, New Graham, National Knives, Knives Ship Free, Blade HQ, Knifeworks, Knifecenter, River's Edge Cutlery, Smoky Mountain, DLT.
I've had a very bad experience with Knife Outlet (taking orders for sprint run knives they didn't have and ultimately never received, then taking days to admit it, causing people to miss out on ordering elsewhere). I may shop with them again, but its doubtful and never for a sprint run.

I hate to pile on, but KO failed me in exactly the same manner and also shipped another order to a seemingly random address. They made it to my “never again” list.elduderino04 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 08, 2020 4:47 pmI've had great experiences with Knifejoy, New Graham, National Knives, Knives Ship Free, Blade HQ, Knifeworks, Knifecenter, River's Edge Cutlery, Smoky Mountain, DLT.

River’s Edge, Sooner State, Knives Plus, and BBS have all been great. The rest of the big names have all lived up to their well deserved positive reputations as well. Collector Knives is excellent, but currently does not sell Spydercos.

BBS has provided the best service so far. Ordered three times, always shipped next day with USPS Priority and arrives within two days.
BHQ and BladeOps have been pretty good also.

I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Re: Reputable Online Retailer Sugestions and Experiences Good or Bad
I generally prefer buying knives in person at a brick & mortar location. I like being able to "try them on" and getting a feel for how they fit my hand & whether there are any potential hotspots, how the weight is distributed, etc. And I just like being able to talk shop with people who know knives... there aren't any "knife people" in my social circle.
There are times when buying online is the only option, though, and when I go that route, my go-tos are Blades Canada (a.k.a. Warriors & Wonders) and Gorilla Surplus. Prices are a bit on the high side compared to what some overseas sellers offer & new models take a bit longer to get added to inventory but it's important for me that I support local businesses especially at this time. I've bought I think 10 knives online from Blades Canada & maybe 2 knives online from Gorilla Surplus over the past few years & have no complaints.

Poor grammar and "Spydecro" in the google search results isn't promising.

I've ordered from Oso Grande and Blade HQ. I ordered, I paid, they shipped, no problem.

If anybody is in Australia, I can highly recommend Go Commando in Sydney.
Ive been out to meet Jay and check his store out a few times, he's a real nice fella and has good prices on his site.
He has a bricks and mortar in Caringbah, and online store.
His shipping is same or next day shipping, free express shipping for over $60 orders.
If there's anything on his site out of stock you can call him and he will do his best to get it in.
Ive been really impressed and have got most of my knives from him.

Usually use Knifecenter but will check Go Commando out. Did price them as not far off once currency and shipping to Australia added.Salty Dog wrote: ↑Sun Feb 07, 2021 7:49 pmIf anybody is in Australia, I can highly recommend Go Commando in Sydney.
