That's why I asked for a sprint run. They bring them back for sprints. A man can dream

I wish they weren't the lightweight versions, but I do like the grey color. As for a K2 sprint, they're likely being discontinued due to poor sales, so probably not the best sprint run model?

I'm glad it's the lightweight versions, I rather like the lightweight Manix while the regular leaves me cold. I'll have to see if I can sneak one into my budget.

Please make this a regular item, and not just a Sprint.

Interesting chart, from Carpenter. Note Maxamet, M4 and A11 (CPM-10V) steels.

The chart does not say at which hardness the steels are, and is intended for marketing purposes, so I would not take it as the final word on these steels, but it gives and interesting perspective on the general pecking order.

According to this chart, it seems like Maxamet has about 30% more wear resistance than M4, but 30-40% less toughness than M4.

Ha, that's exactly what happened to me... this pushed me to figure out where the messages were ending up and fix it.

Great, now I'll need a first Manix LW and another N5!! I'd say this unassuming addition to the Byte fell in to the "casual bombshell" category.

And thanks for the heads up Spydergirl!

I want a PM2 in this steel. And oddly enough I'm glad that it'll be next year before it's out, because I've already committed to not buying any more knives this year (barring some extreme must-have sprint or something). After I bought the Nirvana, I had to placate the wife. She went with me to Blade and wants a PM2 herself, but there are still limits to her patience. :p
