What Knife / Knives would you like to see from Spyderco iether discontinued or new ?
I was just thinking it would be cool if the M4 Manix 2 was a standard production like the Bradley is. I know it was originally a dealer exclusive but I'd love to see another M4/FFG Manix 2 variant in standard production. They could change the scale color to separate it from the dealer knife..how about foliage green?

I would LOVE to see a reissue of the earlier Kiwi lockbacks or some new Kopas. The current Kiwi 3 is a sad shadow of the earlier models. With the possible exception of the Chaparrals, Spyderco really doesn't make small Gentleman's folder. The Manbug, Jester and Dragonfly's are nice, but not elegant compared to the lockback Kiwi's with the inlays or the Kopa line.
No FG for me, but make it M2 LW in black and I probably will get one.Evil D wrote:I was just thinking it would be cool if the M4 Manix 2 was a standard production like the Bradley is.
I am with you on Kopas, especially clipless. Still if Spyderco would make bolstered Jester with smooth bone scales, this will be a knife to die for.KrisOK wrote:I would LOVE to see a reissue of the earlier Kiwi lockbacks or some new Kopas. Hi All,
An H-1 serrated Superhawk/Spyderhawk type blade with a slightly nicer scale would make me wet.
Just as a second thought - I'm having trouble understanding how the steel that Sal says out cuts all others (when serrated) is still on the cheapest knives around. Very strange. Give them the platform they deserve.

Skill is in the little things
Sal never said it "out cuts" anything, only that it tested harder at the edge than any other steel they've tested. Hard at the edge doesn't equate to out cutting the next steel, there's way more to it than hardness.Yotee wrote:Hi All,

I would certainly buy one in tan, foliage green, ranger green, coyote brown, etc, and, as I've mentioned before, the original hollow grind would be OK with me as well.Evil D wrote:I was just thinking it would be cool if the M4 Manix 2 was a standard production like the Bradley is. The foliage green has been done, but the new forest green (Forum Native/204P Para) or perhaps navy blue could be a great combo for another M4. I don't even care if it is hollow or FFG.Evil D wrote:I was just thinking it would be cool if the M4 Manix 2 was a standard production like the Bradley is. The first run of the Renegade and Blackhawk ( the Renegade's little brother) were both made in Golden, CO USA at one point.. Also all 3 of the Chinook models were Golden CO USA made models.Jeremy_A_Neel wrote:I'd like to see a golden made clip point folder. Something like the renegade or the chinook.
I too would love to see newly revamped, high tech versions of both models. The Renegade in particular was truly a very functional and ideal EDC folder>> I carried one for almost 2 years at one point. The Chinook was a real "beefy" and bulky model but an ideal outdoor folder. I would also add the JD Smith to your ideal list of clip point blades.
Long Live the SPYDEREDGE Spyderco Hawkbills RULE!!
